Jambo'ness
Yeh that could be funny if they moved IBROX brick by brick to Bury ! how long before the Govan loyal work out the underground doesn't go to England for their "Home come Away" matches and complain they should get 6 points for both of the same fixture ?.Just thinking out the box there coz we know they'd try to cheat somehow and derby games could be potential 12 pointers . Oh there is a precedent. Accrington bought/ obtained a stand from Arsenal in the old days and moved every part of the structure up north. Maybe club 12 will claim political asylum from all the bad men in Scotland and use that as an excuse to play in England.
madwullie
According to Craig killie on fb Scotland is sfa's juristiction and therefore all games played in Scotland need the nod from them I can't see the sfa going for that one Eta @ no8 Edited June 21, 2012 by madwullie
Silvio Tattiescone
Said it before but it bears repeating - UEFA has eleven "core values". Number one of those is - In everything that we do, football must always be the first and most important element that we take into consideration. Football is a game before being a product, a sport before being a market, a show before being a business. http://www.uefa.com/uefa/elevenvalues/index.html Worth reminding the SFA, the SFL and the club chairmen of this at every opportunity.
Happy Buddie
65 million years ago, on a little blue planet, orbiting a small yellow third-class star on the outer arms of a run-of-the-mill spiral galaxy on the remote fringes of the Universe, eneormous beasts with tiny little brains ruled the land. They were so little-challenged by the other types of animals on the planet that they fed without limit. Then out of the sky, with fire blazing from its tail, hurtled a city-sized asteroid. It plunged with outrageous ferocity into the planet's surface, throwing rocks and dust high into the atmosphere, which blocked out star's life-giving light for many months. When the skies cleared, there was not a dinosaur left alive, driven to extinction by the lack of sustenance on the planet's surface. The new rulers of the planet came forth in the shape ofall furry animals and feasted on the carcases of the dead giant beasts. These little animals were more intelligent than the giant dinosaurs, and overy many years had learned to adapt to environments in which the giants could not survive. In time, one of them came to be the most widely spread and most successful of all animals, ever, learning even to control its own environment. And now we witness the death of another beast, too big for its brain to cope with its changing environment, which has attempted to swallow up all the other beasts in its world, even feeding on its own kind, swallowing them whole in a futile attempt to remove any trace of their existence. But, as with the original dinosaurs, whose bodies were so big, and brains so small, that the head did not know what the tail was doing, the asteroid has struck, and with the dinosaur the victim of its own greed, the small furry animals shall rise up and feed on its carcase. Keep the faith, brothers. Edited June 21, 2012 by Happy Buddie
The big chair
Ah - he was at St jonstone last game of the season when Sandy Jardine comped him in - but I'm sure he is an avid fan - honest I wonder what team he'd have beside his name if he posted on P&B
pozbaird
Just having my first caffeine fix of the morning and have picked up these 'Rangers to England' titbits... Ah, smell that? That bullshit smell? I love the smell of bullshit in the morning. Smells like.... Sevco. So, aye. Coffee in hand, chunky Kit Kat at the ready. What's in store for us today my fellow diddies? Shit. St Mirren's community buy-out is finally decided today. Gulp. Gie's a shout when the Blue Knights make their dramatic entry with a last, last, last, final, final, final, best and final offer....

Jambo'ness
Wake up - Green has a brilliant knowlege of Scottish football only surpassed by his knowledge of who wins the 3.30 @ Kempton Park Of course he has a superb knowledge of the Scottish game! After all, he KNOWS it is dead without his beloved Rangers.

Maybe club 12 will claim political asylum from all the bad men in Scotland and use that as an excuse to play in England. And they also have a few hundred of the old Love Street seats.
Sam Leitch Loyal
I'm hoping when the vote is taken Cockwomble will stand on the steps at Hamden and do the Caesar thumb down gesture to the baying crowd, release the lions onto the bears and the big bulldozer to the big hoose, hell if he's smart he'll charge SKY to broadcast it live Cockwomble: "What shall I do with this ex-club?" Crowd: "Crucify it!"
offshorebairn
So doe the SPL/SFA now add holding the game in contempt to the list of charges??? Maybe Mr Green has started to smell the flowers!
Dee Man
I always find it rather amsuing how Green bleats on about how losing Rangers will 'kill the game' up here, and is as concerned about it he claims to be. He's been here for like 5 minutes and has probably never been to a Scottish game of football in his life! I never saw rangers show too much concern about what state they'd leave the Scottish game in with their numerous attempts to leave the SPL to go to EPL/Atlantic League/lower English leagues and now in their current guise theyre trying to tell us it would kill the game. On the contrary, I think the game would/will prosper. After romping the league for a couple of years Selik will have to adjust their budget due to a loss of fans bored of the monotony and lack of TV money. The gap narrows, every team begins the season with something to play for, fans start to get interested again and crowds go back up(apart from selik...shame), jobs a good 'un.
Toaster
hmm maybe there is some element of truth to it.(the move to England nonsense) hypothetical question for all the P&Bers if Bury were to buy Ibrox from sevco would they be allowed to play their home games in Glasgow? after all its nothing more than obtaining a new stadium and relocating. albeit by a few hundred miles. if they are allowed to do that then they could easily change the strip and name at a later date. something similar to how sevco are calling themselves "the Rangers"

cyderspaceman
Have gweeny for being first on page 2,000 or was there scullduggery and posts were deleted . I too gave drooper a greenie. I suppose ANYONE could delete a post and move him back to 1999. That would just be cruel and not in the spirit of sporting integrity so evident on these pages.

Old Diamond
Has Jimmy Carr replaced Andy Cameron as the official Club 12 comedian, sounds as though he fits in perfectly with that mob
