Could anyone confirm if those former Rangers fans, who are buying their "new" strip, are aware that their money will still be going straight to JJB Sports & not Sevco as they might think they are?

Regarding the Quislings: of the 5 clubs who haven't a direct statement/interview, and account for the last 3 Vichyists, one is Morton: who's chairman's statement throughout had been fairly against e.g. http://www.gmfc.net/...fullnews&id=708 while others have been non-commital/open/silent.

That would mean 3 of the 4 others are the 'collaborators'?

My suspicion would be that 1/2 of them may be 'outed' in the local press this week anyway, but surely whichever 1 did infact vote 'No' must be strongly tempted to declare so? Thereby avoiding the stain of implied possible guilt by association?

40 Part Time Clubs in Scottish Football and we'll aw live happily ever after. No need for Scumtic or Newcunto. No need for any TV deal.

As soon as possible please.

What have Celtic ever done to anyone?

We'll be the biggest losers out of the **** not existing, financially, and we're willing to take the hit.

Celtic FC, in their 125th year of unbroken history, have never cheated, never dodged tax, have had every referee against us, some of whom openly boast of having cheated us, and you want rid of us?

Celtic have been more hard done by out of Scottish football than any other club, we're the victims in this.

You broach a subject. You raise it for discussion. You don't breach a subject - but you're a Celtic supporter so you think you know it all.dry.gif

 are you my old English teacher ? when you speak to a Rangers supporter you definitely have breached something or other for sure.

Oxford dictionary definition : noun ; breaking the rule of duty ! it's most common conception that Rangers broke no rules but the men who ran the club did  so definitely breached a conversation with a few gers supporters I'd say.

They've all got no grounds for complaint.

The only club with any esteem left, is the one that voted to keep Sevco out completely.

There should have been an open & transparent application process, with the SFL running a team short for a season.

The supreme irony is that much of the plan for restructuring the professional game in Scotland was visionary, involving a single league body with four divisions named Premiership, Championship, League One, League Two

Wonder how they ever managed to come up with that "visionary" idea :D

I still feel empty even with Rangers in the third. I despise much of the current league setup (who doesn't), particularly the lack of promotion and relegation from the SPL.

It was known in SFA circles as the Aunt Sally document ? Hilarious!!

Bold bits, coupled with the E-mail leaked by Alex Thomson, are pretty astonishing.

The full extent of the lengths to which the Scottish football authorities were prepared to go to shoehorn newco Rangers into the First Division can be revealed today.A document prepared for the Scottish Football Association's Board and dated 18 June has been obtained by Scotland On Sunday. It was said by an insider to be the "culmination of weeks of talks between the SFA, SPL, SFL, oldco Rangers and then newco Rangers."

The document is headed "Scottish FA: Newco & Scottish Football, A Strategic Review" and has Regan's mark of authorship – on page 6, dealing with the "top ten risks to be addressed", the second "risk to be addressed" is said to be "social unrest" which is the phrase used by Regan after the SPL voted not to allow newco Rangers into their league.

It was this initial review which led to the proposals put forward by the SFA, SPL and SFL last week calling for the restructuring of the professional game in Scotland, tied to the plan to put Rangers into the First Division.

As far back as 18 June, however, the authors knew they were in for possible trouble with their plans. The risks to be addressed included "threat to solidarity payment [the £2 million paid to the SFL by the SPL] and future survival of 20 remaining clubs" – the first time the number of possible casualties has been mentioned, amounting to almost half the 42 professional clubs in Scotland.

On the last page under the heading "Questions to Consider" the author asks: "What is the mechanic per footballing body to approve a package of measures out-with the rule book?" This is believed to be a reference to the conflicts between the SPL and SFL rule books on how to deal with a club going into liquidation.

Other questions are: "Does the Scottish FA need to call an EGM? Do we need unanimity to move forward – potential challenges as to whether we have powers to do this?"

Benefits of the package were that it would "show leadership for the game in Scotland" and avoid "a fan backlash" with "a positive media outcome" – three "benefits" that did not accrue.

In the bizarre lexicon of the SFA, the review is known as an "Aunt Sally" document – it is actually referred to as such in SFA minutes – with controversial proposals put up for discussion so that they can be accepted or rejected.

OldCo/NewCo involved in discussions, while other clubs weren't, and investigation of mechanics to go outwith rulebook.

Bloody hell... so it's confirmed Green was to be secretly briefed; it'd been decided to promote Dundee; admission of Rangers to SFA membership was a formality; and SFA was chucking £1M in .

Football in meltdown ... yesterday's Scottish Sun

EXCLUSIVE

VENGEFUL SPL chiefs could scrap promotion and limp on with an 11-team top flight next season.

That is just one of the last-ditch plans being hatched by desperate chairmen in an attempt to stave off SPL Armageddon.

Friday’s SFL decision to banish Rangers to Division Three has sent our stricken game into civil war.

SunSport can reveal the six-man SPL board held an emergency meeting on Friday night to address the mounting problems.

Skint SPL clubs are furious at the SFL for slamming the door on an SPL2.

Now, in a bitter act of revenge, the SPL will discuss the possibility of an 11-team top flight at their AGM tomorrow.

Dundee or Dunfermline were expected to take Gers’ place, but SunSport understands that is no longer assured.

And, in a move that could delay the start of the season, SFL chiefs countered by promising legal action IF worried bosses try to push through an SPL2.

Panic has spread through top-flight clubs, with several now teetering on the brink of administration.

As SunSport revealed yesterday, Kilmarnock could be the first to fall, with Motherwell, Dundee United, Hibs, Hearts and Caley Thistle all also in perilous financial states.
