Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

As a tax payer I'm not to pleased about any of the private companies and their Chairmen receiving the benefit of sponsorship paid for by the Scottish Government and the TV license. Especially Rangers. I propose the proceeds of crime money be returned to the slightly less crooked Lyons and Daniels gangs who worked so hard to earn it. I'd trust them more not to waste it.

But that is the most important form of targeted advertising for Green. The Orcs themselves. He needs to sell the club to the retards before he can sell the club. To a retard.

You're absolutely right. Green has been intelligent enough to recognise this. It's what lies behind the recent belligirence from him. Clowns like McCoist need no invitation, but they've been given licence now to be as obnoxious as they like.

For Rangers to be a viable, going concern, they need to be big, powerful and ugly. That needs season ticket sales which need instant success which needs expensive players. Everything the club does is now aimed explicitly at that very low common denominator.

It might work - it might not. It's as if Rangers can only go two ways. They can either sail through the leagues, doing well in cups and return as an SPL power aiming for CL income; or they can not make it to Christmas.

If it's the latter, I think they'll die properly this time.

I picked up this story/rumour via a Social Media site. Must say it makes very interesting reading if true!!

"Reported that SFA Chief Executive, Stewart Regan was head hunted by Nolan Partners and that Neil Doncaster was also head hunted by Nolan Partners.

Topping was reported to have been been head hunted by Nolan Partners and it is believed that Lunny was head hunted by Nolan Partners.

Nolan partners owner and senior partner is Paul Nolan

Paul Nolan is a lifelong best friend of Kevin Reid. Paul Nolan is a lifelong friend of the Reid family

Kevin Reid's father, Dr John Reid was the Celtic FC Chairman at the time of all 4 appointments

The SFA internal lawyer cut her teeth at Celtic FC

The SFA's head of Marketing joined in March from.....you guessed it, Celtic FC

Every journalist in Scotland totally refuses to investigate / run with these reported FACTS

Ask yourself why "

interesting !

Good to see Leggo has decided to join the forum.

Green has a window of opportunity just now. He's been through the liquidation but couldn't sell as the buyers in waiting wanted to know where/if they would be playing. They now know the score, there's a team on the park, a few players signed and he seems to own the property. Anything he puts in just now will be an investment. The price will go up, then maybe dip as crowds fall when the tubes get fed up. It will rise again near the end on the Championship run in. I don't think he'll lose money now though.

Is it just me or does there seem to be a large number of posters on here driving people to view the rangers media sites.

I know I have been guilty in the past so if I do so now I will cut and paste any funny stuff to ensure their traffic is kept to a minimum ..

Please guys .. no more lazy hyperlinking .. cut and paste is the way forward ...

DhenBhoy, ol' pal, if rangers have the most entertaining website, surely you wouldn't want to deny them their just reward?

Next thing you'll be wanting a cut of their site revenue.

If the visiting fans want to pay their money, that's their prerogative.

It"ll be socialist website visiting next................................:)

(it's only the most entertaining in a horror movie type way)

:D but he will............. all that has changed is he has signed players that he cannot afford to pay. All the S/T cash goes to run the club without wages. No tv money, no Europe, if he doesn't get promotion he can't sell it. He must sell or asset strip in the next 2 or 3 months.

But they will go bust sooner than that.........

Green has thrown his dice and gambled big. If he had only authorised the signing of journeymen lower league pros - he simply wouldn't sell tickets. The impending transfer embargo also means Sevco need to get their business done now of course, but that is a secondary concern. Green's primary concern is a need for the Orc dollar - and he's hoping that marquee signings will get bums on seats, and lots of them. Talk about a high risk strategy. Actually, for just about the first time since Feb 14 - I can understand the thinking behind this.

Anyone bothered to Photoshop Green's face onto a photo of an old-time Mississippi riverboat gambler?

Interesting. Administration by January 2013 in my opinion.

He could sell players in January to prop it and there's still a few weeks to punt Goian, Bedoya etc. That should help keep them going.

Cheating B******S, they've held the game up when East Fife were prepared for a 7.45 kick-off. The fans knew what time kick-off was yet they still turn up late. Would love it if the Fifers could beat them but I doubt we could be that lucky.

Goian goes for nothing I think under clause from TUPEing. I honestly dont think the money is there to pay them all for 5 months til January.

Has he got the £500,000 back from Burke + Hare yet? And are they still after him for the rest of the sale price?

Edit for : Mon the FIFE

You're right. There does actually appear to be some kind of logic there, but for him rather than for the club.

He didn't come here to run a sustainable club that can grow organically into something bigger. He came to make as much money as possible, quickly. The way to do that is to attract big crowds, then sell up. It is a gamble for him, but his personal investment hasn't been huge, basically because he doesn't have huge wealth. If it goes tits up, he'll live with that ok. If it goes well, he might make decent money.

In a way, he's at the perfect club for such an approach. The fans only want instant success because they're mainly thick and inadequate. For these reasons, they're also incapable of examining what he's doing or worrying about its viability.

It is a gamble, but not a personal one. He's gambling with the money and the club of the stupid.

AAAARRRGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Right, I have tried to be fairly level headed and rational and contribute concisely and sensibly to these pages whenever I felt I had something worth contributing.

And that is why I stayed away from the keyboard yesterday: I was so, so raging when I heard the radio pumping out all that garbage from Murray, McCoist, McLeish and every other Rangers apologist, about how they did not accept anything wrong had been done, how no one can strip them of titles, only punishments they accept will be considered etc, etc, bloody etc!!!!

But today has tipped me over the edge. I am sick bloody fed up of this club riding roughshod over every sense of fairness and justice; ignoring the consequences and sanctions arising from their years of mismanagement, cheating and possibly criminal, probably negligent actions.

Tell me how, someone, anyone, tell me how they can possibly justify signing all these players on ridiculous wages for the third division? And not only that, tell me how and why they should be allowed to when they still owe tens of millions of pounds to God knows how many individuals and businesses and football clubs!!

It is bad enough all these other poor companies having been shafted by them, but what about all the football clubs still being owed money? How can McCoist be allowed to bring in players when they are still owe money to other clubs? I thought all those debts had to be paid? Have they been?

And what is the point of this transfer embargo? If it doesn't start til the end of the month, then every other club in the country has one as well!! Nobody else can sign between September and January, what punishment is that to Rangers!! Why on earth was the transfer ban not instigated from the date the SFA panel or whatever it was handed out the punishment?

Rangers and the vast majority of their fans are kidding themselves they are the victims in this whole shoddy saga. The reality is they have and continue to be treated with kid gloves and favorably by countless individuals in the media, whole media organisations and many of the powers that be in football.

I have always treated both sides of the horrible divide in Scottish football with equal ambivalence; I really couldn't give a monkeys about either of them. I support Forfar and always have and always will. But they way Rangers have acted and been treated - and I have no doubts whatsoever Celtic would have been treated every bit as differently from any other club in Scotland had the shoe been on the other foot - has left me totally sickened and totally despising everything that the former Rangers did represent and continue to do so.

Rant over. Sorry

Then bend over & get ready for what's coming, as your club voted for it.

Only one club had the gumption to say no to Sevco's entry to the SFL, & it wasn't yours or mine.
