Henrik's tongue Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 Hmm... It was actually Celtic fans singing those disgusting songs in Berwick according to this Sevco fan. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mr Man Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 Adrian hits nail on head. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2284663/ADRIAN-DURHAM-COLUMN-Scottish-football-joke--Spurs-Bale-tactics-hardly-second-coming-Rinus-Michels-theyre-effective--Why-Sunderland-Premier-League-padding.html And where would Scottish football be if Rangers had been parachuted into the SPL/SF1 and fans turned their backs on the game forever? Not just us Celtic fans btw, I know plenty of SFL fans who were quite prepared to never return to Scottish football had that been the case. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Second biggest maybe, certainly not second best. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jimmy Shaker Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 TalkSPORT's attitude to Rangers demise last spring was as hilarious as it was ill-informed. The day they dialled in Keith Jackson to give Keys and Gray the inside story on what was happening, only for him to hammer on about how it just pyoor wouldna be fair if Rangers were binned, was a low point even in TalkSPORT's dismal history. Someone on here once remarked that Adrian Durham deserves to be ginger. They were right. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

~~~ Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 His comments about Dundee and training match are hard to deny, watched the highlights and it looked like you were not even trying, could have easily been 10-0. I dont really blame the 30K who stayed away. So, you don't get any games like that in England, Every EPL match is super competitive. when Tottenham put 9 past Wigan, or when Man United stuck 8 past Arsenal? Shades75 Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 "Ramgers haters", is a buzz term that has cemented a place in the Scottish football fan's conciousness in recent times. It is used accusingly by Rangers fans, bloggers and assorted media. I don't think it can be denied that it is a quite accurate term, however thd way it is used as a catch all term to describe the motivations of certain parties to influence the decisions on certain matters is miles off the mark. Fair play and integrity have become, in some eyes, dirty words. That is how mucky the whole sorry mess has become. Anyway back to my point. Possibly the question of "Rangers haters" is well, ok that is true, but why does a huge number of fans "Hate" Rangers? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bennett Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 I really don't care what the english think of our league, they have been calling it a "joke" fof years now, even before Rangers died. Nice of him to mention how Man United are strolling the EPL at the moment, The cheek of him, did no one give him the "it's pure booming" memo? By Adrian Durham The Scottish Premier League is ridiculous. Celtic are 21 points clear and they could win the title in a fortnight. The second best team in Scotland are currently 22 points clear in the Third Division. Last summer the bloodthirsty desire to punish Rangers resulted in the death of Scottish football as sustainable worthy entertainment The Rangers-haters got what they wanted, and ended up with a joke league. Good work. There’s a cryptic message for devolution lovers in there somewhere. Below Celtic, four points separate eight teams. It would be a decent league worth watching if you took Celtic out of it, which is surely the only sensible solution. The 5-0 thrashing of bottom club Dundee at the weekend was a training exercise and Celtic Park was nowhere near full. And why would fans pay to watch their team train? Celtic have scored 53 more goals than Dundee already this season. It was an embarrassing mis-match. We’re seeing the net result of this in Europe as well. Yes the crowd, the spirit and the whole atmosphere at Celtic when a juggernaut of world football like Barcelona arrive in town can carry Celtic through the odd night or two. But that can only take you so far. And Neil Lennon’s side were subsequently swept aside by Juventus. The conclusion is this: the SPL is a joke, and it needs sorting out before the passion of the fans is diluted by the meaningless football north of the border 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
