Jussy
I found the rules for qualification this season here. Cup runner up does get a place if winner has already qualified for Champions' League.
pollokfan1987
It must be really nearing the end game. There is no way rangers can trade there way out of this mess. The administrators must be seeing this. Liquidation is the only option as I see it. No europe for at least 1 year, probably 3.... 60% of season ticket sold off. no tax paid, or NI, or PAYE. let alone pies, cleaners, Arsenal shares etc all sold to mr Whyte. Shut them down now. It is only fair to HMRC. We have to look after Great Britain PLC etc after all. BOOT THEM TO THE JUNIORS
HibeeJibee
By the way, here's a point. If Rangers were to be liquidated is their record expunged from the co-efficients? Or would it just degrade away over the 4 years? If the former, that would have a huge impact.
P45
Posted Today, 06:17 PM http://forum.rangers...ic=211978&st=20 soulboy, on 23 February 2012 - 05:52 PM, said: How can we be owe £5million in vat ? vat is 20% which means in 9 months we would have had to have sold £100 million worth of assets to be due that ach, they are running out of fingers in Govan now. soulboy sounds like a gormless Clyde 1 caller.
jambopompey
lol our coefficient is gonna be really fucked after next season. 5 Teams in Europe and none likely to qualify for the actual group stages. Could be a sore one. Of course wouldn't expect any different if rangers somehow make it in. think that will actually give our clubs their proper level in european competitions where we enter in the earlier rounds but should be able to win through them until the good teams enter at the last qualifying stage

AyrshireTon
and no promotion from Division one then? Why not? Top team in the 1st goes up and joins the 11 remaining teams already there, filling the void made by the liquidated team (or team unable to fulfil its fixures).
rugbyparker
and no promotion from Division one then? Div 1 winners COULD take Rangers place
Jussy
and no promotion from Division one then? There's a thread about it here with links to the relevant info and lots of conjecture.
KeeperDee
I was wondering who would take the champions of div1 place, since there is no movement down to Div one, doesnt that mean that Div1 would be one short?
chico
and no promotion from Division one then? Sadly the highlands rangers supporters group will get up whatever happens. There won't be 2 up.
