Happy Buddie
The Torygraph reckons that Club 12's - sorry, Dundee's - opening league match at Killie could well be postponed if the SPL share isn't transferred over in time. Seems Chuckie might be using this as leverage against sanctions. Is this shit-stirring nonsense written by Roddy Forsyth, by any chance? Chuckie doesn't have anything to do with that, that's with Haudit and Daudit (who?) and / or BDO. Any way, the SPL could just rewrite the rules, Dundee play in blue, after all. It could be postponed because Dundee are scheduled to be in the 1st Round of the League Cup on the same date.

H_B
Unless the paper does the classic "First for exclusives - We told you 7 days ago that X was about to happen". We also told you that L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, Y & Z were going to happen, but forget about them and look at the big shiny pictures. I remember Private Eye absolutely owned Gordon Smart of The Sun's Bizarre column on exactly this. I think he had a series of "exclusives" around a celeb divorce in the offing, all of which contradicted the previous one, then ended with a breathtaking "You heard it here first" when the actual real story was broken by another paper days before and reprinted in The Sun.

MarreZ
Having had a wee read at Rangers Media this morning, it still seems that the general feeling among the support is that the SFA are out to get them and they have been treated appallingly. For any of our friends from said site (or Follow Follow or wherever else you may be coming from) - so far you have had nothing but favours from the SFA yet have pretty much done everything in your power as a club to bite the hand that feeds you. Transfer ban instead of a suspension or expulsion - appealed - one bitten hand. Fasttracked into the third division instead of being made to apply like any other club would - second bitten hand. You now have the choice - the fans say its the same club with the same name and the same history and the titles etc will count, but the cost of that is 3m and taking the punishment of the old club, which Id say is pretty fair really given the whack of debt that has been written off. Green says that they are oldco when its convenient to the authorities, yet he will still be claiming the money owed from Everton for Jelavic to the newco so it works both ways, he wants to keep moneys owed to oldco but not pay out monies owed to oldco football creditors, id say its very much the opposite and Sevco and its fans are using oldco when its convenient, to save money, to be fast tracked into the leagues but just want to drop all that pesky football debt and punishments with the oldco. Shit or get off the pot time - if its newco, thats great, pick a new name, scrap the history and start again, all is forgiven? No, theres nothing to forgive its a new company. If you want the history and the name, put your hand in your pocket, man up, take the punishment and get moving without the threats and nonsense that the SFA are having to put up with. Everyone knows the powers that be made a monumental cock up from the start but if these men who are in power remain, there has to be a line drawn in the sand where everyone stops beating them with a stick.
cuyahoga
http://www.independe...me-7946687.html 'You're not in the game' Seems like theres a stooshie for the gamers On the brighter side, Sevco have been approached to be featured in the relaunch of that classic game, DOOM.
somner`s love child
On the contrary!! It'll be astonishing, IMO, if SPL actually ends-up with so little income that they can't pay the Settlement: and from what we're told it only starts dropping below existing £2M or so if SPL's income falls below £6M (and it's currently over £20M). SFL clubs would also be benefiting from Rangers away support, and a potential TV deal. OK, give me a scenario where PTFC will profit financially in the coming season from recent developments.

Forever Diamond
How can Green honestly be offering the fans 50% of the club, firstly he is reported as being a minority shareholder, and wont reveal his fellow investors. He surely does not expect fans to invest in something that basically they know very little about. Being honest,i smell shite again. Green's Rangers Pledge
GirondistNYC
1342528081[/url]' post='6439855']My mental image of the average US based Celtic supporter. He started with us in Emerald City, but switched to Man United around the time he moved to Gen Pop in season 3. Claimed it was all about John O'Shea and Roy Keane, the b*****d. Last seen in a Barcelona shirt out on the street discussing the glories of Tiki-Taka. Nice old school HBO reference.
craigkillie
OK, give me a scenario where PTFC will profit financially in the coming season from recent developments. Your current income almost certainly won't be affected in the slightest, so you are unlikely to lose out. The SFL may negotiate a TV deal to show "Rangers" in the league (either highlights or live matches), which would benefit every club in the organisation. "Rangers" will compete in the Challenge Cup - there may be a TV deal for that, where again every team would benefit financially. It is also likely that you will meet "Rangers" at some point during their time in the SFL. They will bring bigger crowds to Firhill than most other SFL sides.

Thumper
I'm surprised that none of the long-term Orc unemployed have approached Chuck with offers of voluntary work. Things like general cleaning, grass cutting and putting the dustsheets over the seats in 3 stands could be carried out for free. They could then "bank" their voluntary hours towards the cost of an ST once ZombieH*ns are back in the top flight. Jist a thought. Working for scrip is illegal. Celtic are and always will be, a Scottish club with Irish roots . As are Dundee United. Their support isn't full of plastic, self-hating imbeciles though.

No idea where the Cockwomble gets the idea that two unrelated clubs could have their match postponed due to the carry on over a club in Division 3 and playing in the Ramsdens?

Granny Danger
No idea where the Cockwomble gets the idea that two unrelated clubs could have their match postponed due to the carry on over a club in Division 3 and playing in the Ramsdens? Did someone not say recently that there were 16 SPL shares but only 12 had been issued? Surely we just issue one of the spare ones to Dundee and get on with it. Or is that too much like common sense?
