Big Rangers Administration/Liquidation Thread - All chat here!

My own gut feeling is that this will drag out until just after the last game of the season, then the doors will close.

That's 23 days till the end of the season, plus 3 for my guess of the Wednesday at 7.5 ages a day = 195 more pages.

So put my sweep down for page 699

Meanwhile, over at the BBC.... Matt Slater tweets that he has sources in Singapore that say Ng "never had means to pull this off and it stretched credibility to think he ever did"

Next they'll be saying he's never supported Rangers in his life. ;)

Would agree with that but don't even know if it will go on that long. The guy who does the Scots Law Thoughts blog seems pretty clued up and he makes the valid point they'll simply run of money early in June - player salaries go up and there's no way they'll be able to sell many season tickets with such uncertainty hanging over them. Given that negotiations over the CVA will take a while and there are legal time limits which stop this being rushed, they're now in the situation where even if someone could somehow put together a deal, they're likely to run out of time. The massive (not to say delicious) problem they have is that on the other hand, they'll need a fair bit of time to set up a Newco to sort through the liquidation process and make their SPL and SFA applications. So if they want to be playing anywhere at all next season, they may have to announce pulling the plug earlier than May 14. Exciting times :-).

Maybe they started the ball rolling on a newco a while back, remember this story

Two companies featuring the name Glasgow Rangers have been officially registered by a man based in Buckinghamshire.

Glasgow Rangers Football Club Limited and Glasgow Rangers Limited were registered with Companies House.

Their sole director is Gerard Moran. He has not responded to requests for further information.

The registrations show no evidence of a connection with the current management at the Ibrox club.

Rangers finances have been under scrutiny in recent months, with some speculation the club could be placed in administration by its main shareholder and creditor Craig Whyte.

Last week former director Donald McIntyre won his legal bid to have £300,000 of the club's assets frozen pending a breach of contract case.

Rangers' former chief executive Martin Bain has also had £480,000 of cash ring-fenced.

More than £2m of the club's money is currently frozen in a separate tax dispute with HM Revenue and Customs.

So perhaps rangers won't be playing anywhere next season (if they a careless enough to miss deadlines).

I'm sure the folk of the SJFA are devastated especially Cambuslang. I can already feel that Partick had earmarked their groundsharing rent for another pink kit for 2012/13...

Is this him?

He initially concentrated on all aspects of private, non-contentious work particularly domestic conveyancing. He now specialises largely in commercial conveyancing including:

the acquisition and disposal of land and premises for commercial development

commercial work for Housing Associations

acquisitions and disposal of businesses

commercial and domestic leases

domestic conveyancing

Pretty sure those companies were registered around a year ago. I remember a bit of discussion around them on the RTC blog at one point. Can't remember quite how far back it was, but certainly last year.

It should be borne in mind that he is a Celtic fan who was struck off as a solicitor for dubious practices.

As for the company names registered they look to me like some punter hoping to make money by later selling the name.

And?

Since Craig Whyte took over, any bad press (pre admin) was put down to as a "timmy conspiracy"

Remember the protest outside the BBC by Rangers fans, because of that documentary on Craig Whyte, and it was put down to that it was a Celtic fan who was in charge at the time just trying to smear the club.

Have the Rangers fans apologise to the BBC yet?
