AberdeenBud
I bet if you were to search "booming" on this thread 8 and benny would come up tops. Just as Scottish Football may not be "booming", it's undoubtedly a better, healthier more equitable game we have since the demise of Rangers mk1. Monkey Tennis
Excellent posts from QLP, Jupe and AberdeenBud, which all put Bennett's juvenile mewling in its place. Of course our game isn't "booming", but it's doing ok, better than it was and very much better than if the authorities had been allowed to piss all over any notion of competition as they wished, by admitting Newco straight into either of the top two tiers. That's the point here. Edited February 12, 2015 by Monkey Tennis

accietilleyedye
Hardly anyone uses the word booming, young Jupey can't listen to radio Scotland then... Maybe he keeps the volume at a respectable level
Gaz FFC
Rangers fans would absolutely love it if 1 by 1 Scottish football teams closed the doors for good. Doesn't exactly help fans of the other 41 clubs feel more friendly towards the raging bull of shite that is the Newco. The irony is that Rangers fans wouldn't have a club to support if the rest disappeared. Mind you, when did you ever get much intelligence from them?

Murray started the ball rolling when he did for Airdrie, "it's just business" was his reasoning then. Gaz FFC
Murray started the ball rolling when he did for Airdrie, "it's just business" was his reasoning then. Funny how things have worked out since then, I'm glad an Airdrieonians fan turned up here. I won't forget the morning in summer 2002 when it was either Falkirk down to div 2 or Airdrieonians lost forever. When asked by a Rangers fan what I was hoping for I answered "us down" I knew we could come back up, but Airdrie would lose its football team forever. Rangers fans are the mirror opposite.
pozbaird
Are St Mirren missing the money from visiting the Rangers fans? Sure we are - but far more than that, we are missing the visiting Hearts and Hibs fans, and in an ideal world we would have Morton and Falkirk in the SPFL Premiership with us, as they bring big supports through. An increasingly clear picture is developing - the world does not revolve around the tribute act staggering along out of Ibrox.

pozbaird
The sheer volume of posts on this very thread suggests otherwise.. The p&b world, I mean. This is repeated ad nauseam by many the Rangers fans on here - 'you are all here for the Rangers', 'look at all you diddies posting about the Rangers', 'all you care about are the Rangers'....We don't give a fcuk about the Rangers. The Rangers saga since administration and liquidation is however the biggest story to ever hit Scottish football and still rumbles on to this day - taking twists and unexpected turns. It interests us, it puzzles us, it is an ongoing clusterfcuk - none of our interest however means we give two flying fcuks about the dead club that the initial administration happened to, nor do we give a fcuk about the tribute act continuing the entertainment. It is car crash interest, the start of a Grand Prix hoping to see a crash interest, don't kid yourself that the Rangers are box office for us diddies.... We are pointing and laughing and actually enjoying the journey..... Posting on forums, discussing it with our mates, pishing our breeks at a cast of characters including Super Salary, Whytey boy, Sir Charles of Green, Mr Shooders the keyboard king, and Sir Minty of Moonbeams. It's entertainment. Edited February 12, 2015 by pozbaird

I think us filling the North Stand every time we visit paisley probably helps cover any loss you might have experienced. Of course, the fact we travel with a smile on our face, ingratiate with the locals, stay around til the wee small hours drinking your beer and generally just being nice guys, probably helps.Reduced policing costs too. Septentrional Wasp
Happy Birthday BRALT! Although there has been times best forgotten, for the most part, just a quick glance at you brings a smile to the most weary of heads. Thanks for all the good times, and know that you will go down in history as a 'complete' history of a Scottish institution. Many Happy Returns Diddie Club Fan -

kiddy
Has Oldco actually been liquidated yet, or is another 6 monthly statement from BDO due?
aofjays
Has Oldco actually been liquidated yet, or is another 6 monthly statement from BDO due? Yeah, real rangers still exist, last report was November though, next isn't due until May.
