Armand 2
Hereditary Spoiler 6/10 What a fucking weird film. At a running time of over 2 hours, I found it a bit of a slog. I found the story relatively predictable at times but that ending has to be up there with the most bizarre things I've ever seen; it became as comical as it was horrifying. To be fair, it keeps you on the edge of your seat and it is pretty creepy throughout but it wasn't the film that I was expecting.

theupsetter
Tbh, I loved it as well but it was utter nonsense! That's what you want sometimes though! On a Sunday, when I'm as rough as a badgers arse, I just want to watch something I don't have think about, some something dumb and good fun. The last movie I watched...'the greasy strangler'. Couple of times I nearly wet my pants laughing. One of the most bizarre movies I've ever seen.
DA Baracus
Rock Star 7/10 Cheesy nonsense from the early 2000s, although it's set in the late 80s. Marky Mark is in a tribute band but then joins the band his tribute band tributes. Said band includes Zakk Wydle on guitar (not playing himself of course given the rest of the cast in the band) and his riffs are throughout the film. Jennifer Aniston starts as Marky Mark's girlfriend. Anyway, very enjoyable film. It also resulted in the video below, which is Black Label Society's best song from possibly their best album;

patriot1
Rams An Icelandic film in which two brothers who run neighbouring sheep farms haven't spoken to each other for decades fall out even further when their sheep contract scabies. Different.
theupsetter
Rams. The critics loved that film, got some great reviews. I've never seen it but I would be interested in watching it. Watched 'shot caller' last night, thought it was ok. About a family man who goes to prison and gets in with neo-nazis. The star is the guy from breaking bad apparently.

Eednud
Ocean's 8. Apart from having a cast of wids it's one of those films that's instantly forgettable. It wasn't a bad film, pleasant to watch, enough funny bits, probably 20 minutes too long and why did they have to give James Corden a part. Despite that 7/10.
The Minertaur
Not long back from a long flight so managed to fit in a good few films - Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - 9/10. Absolutely loved this. Some incredible acting and the scene in the stable absolutely stunned me at the time. That and then Dixon marching across the street to the billboard company were utterly perfect scenes. All The Money In The World - 7/10. The grandson of the richest man on the planet is kidnapped and he refuses to pay. Step forward Mark Wahlberg to help out. Decent enough film that I watched while tired so I'm maybe underrating it. The Disaster Artist - 7/10. The story of how The Room was made. Seen it before and loved it both times. Brilliant acting by both Franco's. Murder On The Orient Express - 8/10. Absolutely loved this until the ending when the killer was announced.
++Ammo - Airdrie++
Hereditary — It’s been about 45 minutes since I left the cinema and I’m still trying to process just what the f**k I’ve just watched. Went and seen this in Saturday. The film is absolute cactus. Pure sh*the in other words. So slow to start, and bar a section from 60-90 minutes which wasn't AS bad, then that ending, wtf. This is the type of film that weirdos will love and give "off the wall, radical" reviews. But for the normal Joe bloggs cinema go'er, avoid.Worst film I've seen in a long time.

I really enjoyed the set up and felt it was looking like a good film up until the plot opened up a bit at which point it became absolute nonsense. I'm sure a read a book with that title and a similar plot a few years ago. I can't remember what happened exactly but I think some sort of mental band turned up!?
