Definitely back in full Vince creative mode.

Raw apparently went through tons of last minute rewrites and talent had no idea what was going on after previously having months of HHH ensuring shows were locked in place at least 24 hours in advance.

Reckon that's largely just dirtsheet and Internet stuff because the show was awful. They've proven time and time again they know nothing. Same people that are reporting this were the people reporting that WWE was being purchased by the Saudis just last week.

It's very much a case now of - bad episode = Vince must be back and good episode = Triple H, what a guy!

Vince announced yesterday that he'd be back involved in creative. If he's publicly announcing it, then he's already been involved for a good couple of month if he ever truly went away.

Fightful has the RAW/SD line ups bang on every week though, but not last night.

That's balanced out by Sean Ross Sapp being a bigger fucking haver than Meltzer though.

There were three different run sheets sent out to the producers table in space of 45 minutes last night, two after the show had gone on air.

What you're saying does have merit, folk who talk up HHH's vision for the show generally hate McMahon's but he's well known to be absolutely fucking batshit when it comes to live TV and last night's Raw, for the first time in ages had a proper feel of 2021/early 2022 clusterfuck Raw shows all over again.

He's 78 years old in a couple of months, he should have taken the money, got to f**k and left it to people with other, better ideas - can say what you like about him being a visionary in terms of being able to see changing markets in advance and that does hold up, but running a live TV show has 100% passed him by.

Regardless, the RAW/SD run orders have been bang on for months now, and last night they were not - which would back up the last minute changes from the big man.

Well, he also got the Mania run orders wrong before deleting the Tweets and then re-posting them.

That was absolutely dreadful. Glad that’s me done with it for a while. I’ll maybe be back for MITB since it’s intriguing it is in London.

The Cody/Brock team actually made a bit of sense but that ending was so stupid. Cody buried even further and if they wanted to turn Brock full heel again there was 100s of better ways they could have did it.

The rest of the show was hot garbage as well. No offence to the guy but Riddle as the only surprise was piss poor.

The icing on the cake was having Brock doing exactly what HHH/Vince (dependant on who you want to believe is running things) wanted to do by giving the middle finger to everyone at the end.

Been trying to work out where they're going - for better or worse - with this thing.

Brock has maybe agreed a deal with Heyman, take out Rhodes and he'll get yet another title shot at Reigns which allows Reigns to take his much speculated time off. Work it all the way to Summerslam and get a triple threat on the go (I know - ridiculous) and have Rhodes get his moment but get the pin over Brock thus keeping Reigns as all conquering and dominant but getting the titles off him at the same time?

It's far from ideal but it's the best guess I can come up with.

I would have loved to see Brock become an APA-style gun for hire.

Rey needs a partner for a match against Dominik and Judgement Day? Here comes the pain. Seth Rollins needs backup against Logan Paul and the sidemen? Oh, hai Brock. Need someone to carry an injured Shane-O-Mac out of the ring? Better Call Lesnar

  • 2 weeks later...

New title is beautiful but Triple H really sold it as the secondary title for the guy that appears every week.

May as well have just said it's the new intercontinental title the way he was framing it.

They have somehow managed to find an even more pathetic way to split the titles that when Triple H was handed the World title back in 2002. An open goal missed to have Reigns drop the WWE title, while keeping his Universal run going.

They need to meld both Roman's belts into one less ugly one now.

I'm not sure that works either.  It was the same as all the booking suggesting that Reigns main event both nights of WM, one for each belt.  As soon as Reigns drops one title, he may as well just lose the other, because the mystique is well and truly gone.  I don't think there's much glory in being the second guy to beat Reigns, no matter how long he's had that title.

Of course this way isn't very good either.  They've booked themselves into a corner that just wasn't necessary.  He should've dropped both of them at WM, then they could have had Rhodes volunteer to split them with some ra-ra face promo.
