Investing in training infrastructure at the time when the club is haemorrhaging cash is baffling and has to be questioned. For me, a football club investment really needs to be totally focussed on the quality of the team and the results generated each and every game. Every club supporters want positive results and through that investment flows. The last thing the Pars need just now are supporters turning their backs. This is the time when your club needs everyone connected with club to pull together in the same direction. I think it’s quite sad to see any club struggle but you have saved your club before and I’m sure you’ll do it again. Bullshit they have been inept at managing a club due to their original business model being to push cheap continental players into the market. Once they knew the restrictions they haven’t come up with a better model, waiting for the training ground to be finished and putting zero funds into the club. I believe pars United have first refusal but at what price I don't know. If it is to be pars united taking full control again then it's likely that the group would need new involvement, a lot of those involved have been steadily resigning from the dafc board over the past few years, will they return? Perhaps, it will depend on why the stepped back in the first place. Brentford have invested millions in how they identify and target players. No club in Scotland could afford to do it like they do. The only long term approach that will work in Scotland is investment in youth (at a level your club can afford) and supplement with a good scouting system to identify players to play in the first team who have a sell on value. Falkirk IMO are now going about this correctly. We have a few promising modern apprentices from our small academy of which we may get a couple into the first team squad in the next year or so and 4 or 5 first team players with sell on value.
