I reckon there was far too many layers of guitar overdubs on Be Here Now, especially on that track. Noel's obviously thought the same as alot is either removed or turned down. I think Knebworth finished it all for me. End of an era that was. Still some cracking tunes up until then though Bring it on down, Rock and Roll star, Some might say and Aquiesce all good tracks for me. Elixir Posted October 24, 2016 Share Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) Although I was a wee nipper in the '90s, anything I've seen of them as an adult in that period - '97 to '99 as well as '94 to '96 - still seems top class. I also think the live album Familiar to Millions which they released in 2000 is an absolute belter. Liam's voice seemed to start deteriorating not long after then for most live performances, though. Even still, every studio album from 2000 onwards still had cracking songs on them. Just not as many. To this day I still can't believe they only done two days at Knebworth with the huge demand for tickets. The version of Liam singing "Sad Song" in it is brilliant.
