optimistic
Proof in the pudding will be on the park, but I'm confident going into the season ahead, winger and another two strikers I hope to come, welcome Darren barr
O'Kelly Isley III
Jeez, I'm getting the same vibes I last got in early 1970 when the late Jackie Stewart, possibly Dumbarton's greatest ever managerial alchemist, hit upon a formula which blended spoonfuls of hardworking but modest players with a tincture of pure unalloyed talent to create the footballing equivalent of a de-luxe malt whisky. The proof of course shall lie in the eating, or to be strictly consistent, drinking, but I'll tell you younger Sons fans on here, there's currently a buzz in this old town which was last experienced when Martin Hainigan danced in front of The Waltzer at The Shows on Dumbarton Common.
Bring Back Paddy Flannery
As has been said Barr is a quality addition should he be able to stay injury free. Good work Stee.

Snakebite
Dumbarton are making some very good signings for a part time club. Never mind Alloa would fancy them to finish above Morton and maybe Livingston too.
lambsyy333
Great stuff. Happy to have Gaz back, I hear there was a full-time offer on the table for him as well. st mirrren made him a full time offer but gaz refused as he is a son at heart

Their early signings haven't been particularly inspiring.
George Parr
The difference in approach to transfers between Aitken and Muzz is interesting. I imagine loan signings will be seen as an absolute last resort going forward.
Rocky Balboa
Barrs a top signing.
Thommo90
2 strikers and a right midfielder left to sign at least Id say. Cover at full back / wide midfield probably needed but reckon we will get loanees in for that.
mcintyre_gmfc
What strikers do you guys have signed up? Just Fleming and Smith?
Jan Vojáček
What strikers do you guys have signed up? Just Fleming and Smith? Kevin Cawley as well, though I think he's more of a midfielder.
optimistic
Brown Taggart. Graham. Barr. Buchanan. Gallagher. Docherty. Miller. Kirkpatrick. Gibson. Smith/Fleming
Jan Vojáček
Brown Taggart. Graham. Barr. Buchanan. Gallagher. Docherty. Miller. Kirkpatrick. Gibson. Smith/Fleming Don't think Buchanan is a left back, Barr can play defensive mid IIRC so I'd go: Brown Taggart Graham Buchanan Docherty Gallagher Barr Cawley Kirkpatrick Gibson Fleming
The Moonster
Docherty will play left back, can't see us forcing Buchanan out of position. I think Chase has a fight on his hands for centre half. Like others, delighted with our signings so far.

Cover at full back / wide midfield probably needed but reckon we will get loanees in for that. Exactly what I was thinking myself. If we were to recruit solidly in those positions I'd be delighted. The strikers position is a huge one, need to get that right. Just doesn't seem to be much kicking about at the minute so good to see wee Stee isn't rushing into anything. I'd imagine Smith will primarily be used as backup unless he can prove himself worthy of being a 1st pick.
CALDERON
Smith is absolutely fucking shite. Very surprised to see him at this level again tbh.
FifeSons
Smith aside, every signing Aitken has made looks pretty decent on paper. Another striker is a must, any remaining funds needs to be invested in an out-and-out goal scorer.
justin time
Tell u what, u may be part time but you must be paying full time wages!! No way some of these guys would drop to part time for less than £400-£500 per week. No bad for two nights training and another job!!
