The Jets have tackled opposing running backs for a loss or no gain on 29.7% of their carries which is the best rate in the league.

The one thing that I hate about this sport is the amount of meaningless statistics that are kept and quoted. American Football has to be the most over analysed sport.

Only one statistics matters at the end of the season - Wins

And the Jets have the 6th most of those in the AFC. :P

I agree that some statistics are meaningless, especially without context. For instance, JJ Watt only has 4.5 sacks so far but is still the most dominant defensive player in the NFL. However, the above Jets stat paints a perfect picture of the dominance of Damon Harrison, Sheldon Richardson, Mo Wilkerson (and everyone else) against the run so thought it was appropriate to boast.

The same defence is also the most penalised in the league. :P

Jest are also 7th in the current AFC standings having .5 whereas the Chargers are .571 :P

Gino Smith Leads the league in sacked yards lost with 218. 8)

Blackmon suspended indefinitely for violating the league drugs policy

He might be one the biggest Draft Busts since Jamarcus Russell, Fifth overall pick in 2012 and he might only ever play 20 games. Will he get another chance?

Going out on a limb here, but does it not tend to be those players who grew up or went to college in the south? They go from an area where there is not a lot of money to one full of it and can't cope.

Wonder how long until the NFL takes a zero tolerance approach and rather than a 4 game ban, you just get the year out and no money. That'll soon stop them!
