The East Fife Thread

It might be beneficial for both Jamie and East Fife if he signed a short term deal.

He hasn't been playing recently so by playing for us and scoring a few goals he puts himself in the shop window.

We are short of striking options with Chris Duggan another 3-4 weeks away from returning to action. Kevin O'Hara has just been selected for the Scotland 19's squad so no doubt he will be unavailable for a couple of games. Jamie coming in short term would give us options as we await us returning to having a full squad available.

he will be under contract at Hibs if we could pay part of his wages it allows them to pay less but also have other teams looking at him with a chance of signing him.

it would be a win, win for all parties.

East Fife sign Scotland U21 goalkeeper Mark Hurst on loan from Saints until January. A player East Fife fans will know more about than Saints fans after his loan spell at Elgin last season. Is your current number one well established or is Hurst likely to come straight into the side?

Having just read the post below, this makes some sense.

Ryan Goodfellow is our other keeper, and Naysmith seemed to be using Muir mainly in league games, with Goodfellow having a few run outs in cup games

Goodfellow was with us last season, but ended being back up to Liam Kelly (on loan from Rangers)

I'd imagine there's a good chance of Hurst starting, Brechin tomorrow maybe a liitle quick notice, but we'll find out soon enough

Heard Muir had 'attitude problems'. Complained about training, travelling etc.

Not a terrible loss. Never looked convincing and didn't trust him handling crosses. I like what little I've seen of Hurst. Looks confident and I'd imagine he'll push Goodfellow for the starting berth.
