The East Fife Thread

Scott Durie could be a Stirling Albion signing today. How's he been lately? We have cover at right back, does he play anywhere else across the back?

No he doesn't!!!

Right back or wing back and thats your lot, Scott's a good player but was needing the move, thought he was getting quite stale tbh, very good player when he is in the mood, but honestly didn't see much of that last season!!!

Look out for his goals though, he doesn't do it very often, but when he does score they are usually quite impressive!!!

Scott Durie training with us today it appears. From what I've read you guys didn't rate him much last year? I reckon he'd be a very decent squad player in this league.

Was good in his first season with us but has gone backwards. More than happy to see him go.

He loves a The Ranjurz too so will no doubt be 'buzzing and honoured' to be playing for Ferguson.

Preston scored two pretty late on, more to do with all the changes than any fault in the tactics and that's how it finished!!!

Definitely is. I was thinking of going through to Fife tomorrow and possibly go to the game so I've been checking sites for a few updates had to rely on Fulham's for a bit of interest.

Half-time 0-0

East Fife subs Honeyman on for Smith after 20 mins and Maskrey on for Honeyman at half time and Fleming on for Rooney!!!

Fulham subs, the starting 11 didn't come back out and the entire bench started the 2nd half!!!

At least it won't slow the game down with incessant substitutions but they might be a bit fucked if anybody gets injured!!!

How did we play? I'm assuming since Naysmith seems to be giving himself a pre-season that he's looking at playing...

Honestly don't think we played that badly, Kevin Smith was simply outstanding for the whole game never giving the Fulham back four a moments peace. The midfield trio of Walker, Brown and Barr looked cohesive and strong in the tackle, which is something that we definitely didn't have last season, Barr especially looked fitter and stronger than he did last term which is no bad thing as I felt he was one of the few who got pass marks from last year's debacle, Brown just appears to be rolling smoothly on from how he finished last season after his injury and Walker looks like being a good addition, quick into the tackle, not afraid to shout and organise and also appears to be more than willing to shoot from distance, could possibly be the Methil Pirlo this season!!!

Naysmith, apart from one instance when Fulham's Trialist A megged him and dumped him on his arse with quite a brilliant piece of skill, simply strolled thoroughly the game, especially during the middle third of the match when we moved to a back three and he played in what appeared to be more of a sweeper position, he looks fit, which he wasn't last season and will be like a new signing IMO!!!
