Priti priti priti Patel
This geezer has excellent coverage. Started out streaming from his laptop but now has a fully kitted out broadcast van and must be pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars of equipment at every launch. Also gets stung from time to time with fake names when reading out his comments, which is wonderful banter. Ice Wallow Come being a recent example.

The Forth Rail Bridge is still standing after 130 years. The Forth Road Bridge needed closing after 50. I'll take Victorian iron and rivets technology in space anytime

welshbairn
Imagine being in the crew room about an hour before launch (not sure), and your boss says "No biggy, but we've got a bit of a hydrogen leak going on below that thing, probably just a few nuts need tightening, are you up for it?".

Lofarl
There’s been little cloud these last few nights and I’ve found myself staring up at the stars while walking the dog. Got one of those sky tracker apps that tells you what you are looking at. Turns out that big red thing wasn’t mars after all. Next step is a telescope. Watched a few videos and one that is recommended is the size of an artillery gun. I want one that I can bung in a wardrobe when not in use that will give me a decent view of the night skies.

Can I recommend something like a 4" Newtonian Reflector as a starter scope. Easy to handle and you can put it away in a cupboard. It'll give you a start at a reasonable price with a good magnification to see Saturn, Mars and Jupiter is reasonably good definition. Something like this would be a good starter https://amscope.co.uk/products/iqcrew-35x-350x-76mm-reflector-telescope-with-adjustable-tripod-stand?variant=39900988637249¤cy=GBP&gclid=Cj0KCQiAnNacBhDvARIsABnDa6-dvvd6UOcG2j-C-_bgz_spC5o8VdbI6-v7rZ6qxHC3Jkztg9rvi2oaArr6EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds although it's a bit smaller at 3" PS Don't think that the Barlow lens will give you extra magnification , it won't it just means it's a bigger image but no extra detail, you'll need a bigger scope for that. Anyway get one it's fantastic looking at the night sky. Edited December 11, 2022 by budmiester1 Added content

If I ever move to somewhere with a good view of the night sky I might invest in one of these. Pricey but you don't have to know anything to operate it and find stuff, and the image quality is said to better than much bigger ones. https://shop.uk.unistellar.com/products/evscope-2?variant=40168344617069
