harry94
Apparently MSP Alasdair Allan has posted on his Facebook that TNS has Yes at 50% for tonight's poll. Excluding don't knows?

LinkinFighter
It was actually handing Salmond his arse on a plate that Cameron did in Edinburgh. As he said at the time. Its HB's northern rock moment.

ayrmad
Anything over 45% for YES is a positive with TNS.
Michael W
TNS tend to get a lot of fence sitters so if Yes are indeed at 50% excluding DKs it'll be interesting to see how many DKs are left. ICM must be due this week and probably Survation too. Those show a Yes lead and I'm afraid I'll be throwing in the towel - No won't win. Look, I think YES will win, always have, don't let polls decide your mood, if you're actually fighting for what you feel is best why would you give up at the 1st hint of trouble, YES would have given in months ago if we felt like you. All of these polls were probably conducted before BT's "new powers" proposals. Even though they're clearly a panic measure and woefully underdeveloped, all it needs is to change the minds of 2% of Yes voters and it's all to play for again.

Look at the way the tide has turned in the last three weeks. Surge to No and the BT campaign is completely unable to stop it - how many people revert to No?
AMMjag
The south of the country is obviously a little more politically distinct and seems a good deal more pro-union. Is there anyone campaigning for Yes in the likes of Dumfries & Galloway who think they have any kind of chance in winning them over?

Yes voters will not change their minds on the back of this. This is stop the flow of undecided and soft No Labour voters from continuing to drift to Yes.

Guest
Is anyone else a bit worried that the mainstream media could help swing this back the other way, now that panic mode has spread to the news agencies south of the border? I saw all the headlines today saying "10 days to save the union", "Britain in crisis" etc etc, and even the normally fair an impartial Channel 4 News are getting in on the act by reminding us all how good old England bailed out Scotland in 1707. As long as the polls have the vote being tight or even yes ahead, everyone who doesn't live under a rock will be bombarded from all angles with news about how close to disaster old Blighty is. I can't help but think that if anyone can effectively sway the opinions of the more weak minded members of our society, our media can. EGB = worried. Nope, I think what has swung it quite a bit is the grass roots work, going to all the towns and villages. Door to Door visits, Doing everything better than BT. It helps that splinter groups like Tommy Sheridan etc are also getting the message out to crowded town halls and community centres and the performance of the Yes Scotland leaders. I think all the fear and condescension given out by the media and BT has spectacularly backfired

Its the equivalent of playing against the Old Firm and scoring too early. I'm always worried.
