DeeTillEhDeh
Playing the man not the ball again, eh DTID? Change the record, it's tiresome. Sheridan has done an enormous amount of work this year. He's spoke at over 100 public events this year alone. Like him or loathe him, you can't deny the passion he instills. I personally think his speeches have been excellent. Each to their own. I find Sherdan's shouty staccato speech style as annoying as Galloway's dramatic pauses. Apart from their self-serving egos I don't like Sheridan's brand of Trotskyism or Galloway's tankie Stalinism.

There is nothing self serving about them, other than wanting an independent Scotland.

Confidemus
For me he represents the unacceptable face of socialism. I would hate to see him in ANY kind of meaningful role in an Independent Scotland. . He doesn't have any plans to have a meaningful role in an independent Scotland. In one of the Q&A sessions I saw a woman say she would love him to be part of a new iScotland Government. Sheridan said he has no wish to go back to that, he only wants an independent Scotland. I wonder if Jim Murphy would say the same? ETA: I would presume you too haven't seen any of his videos this year?
YassinMoutaouakil
I've seen Sheridan twice this year and both times he's point blank refused to run for any position in an independent government.
MarkoRaj
I have to say as much as he is vain and a bit of a knob, Sheridan is in no way in the same self serving category as George Galloway. As others have said it doesn't look as though he will be attempting to play any part in running an indy scotland. That could all change mind you as he does seem to have rekindled a lot of his old popularity.
Confidemus
For all the Sheridan naysayers, watch this. It's part of his recent Dundee speech. Plenty of facts and passion and not much self serving, so far as I can see:

I'm relieved you say he has ruled himself out of the running for any possible post in the future. I wouldn't have a problem if Murphy decided to stand as an MSP and was subsequently offered a job in government.
Biscuits
Watched a tommy Sheridan YouTube video recently and the mans passion is unquestionable. He has more passion in his little finger than the entire BT campaign.

Not in a million years are they likely to be part of any administration. If there were independence then I think some of this love for Tommy would disappear if he started to the play the oppositionalist to an SNP government - just as the love for Galloway around the issue of Iraq disappeared when he declared for the No campaign. The Scottish people never have been, and could have voted for independence at any time that they liked in the whole era of universal suffrage of nearly 100 years.” What?
