The reason I mentioned my shit music collection is that I could have spent most of the money replacing what I have lost of it & you no doubt would have been ok with that? I realized the futility of having a collection of anything & storing it in the attic is basically a waste of time, I became quite obsessive over a daft record etc collection buying every known copy of songs available from all over the world, then then promo & white label copies & everything in between. We have all the clothes we need & soft furnishings our alternative accommodation can hold. We bought the lad the bike he wanted out of the fund, so he has transport to work. We bought a f**k off big Telly though not as big as the one we lost in the fire. We bought the lad a laptop & we got ourselves a computer. What we gave to charities is not up for discussion.
