bsd
Ben Gordon turned down an offer of full time football as he wanted to continue with his job. Iain Campbell
Cowden til i die
Gordon wouldn't get into our team. Cawley would, McCord would as well. Meggat is meh and is probably better than Campbell though.

Gordon and Armstrong would be as good a part-time defensive pairing as you could get imo.

bsd
How to turn a good conversation bad in one post. Starring Wasps1. Yeah. He's like the guy at work that nobody likes who keeps on trying to butt into conversations even though no one is remotely interested in what he's got to say.

IMO Meggat on the left would also be a great addition to any of the part-time squads

Wasps1
Motherwell watched Meggatt several time back end of last season .he was playing with an injury over the last six or seven games but McCall and Black rate him . He due a crack at full time football
Tamhain
The goals against column from last season really demonstrates how much better Cowden's defence were. They also only lost 7 goals to Alloa's all out attacking football.
bunglebonce
Wasn't smith up at Ross County u21's prior to joining us?? So you can bet we will get some honking youth players from county on loan. County's u20 team lost pretty much week in, week out under Smith. If they weren't bottom of the league when he left for Alloa then they were very close to it. Steven Ferguson took over and starting getting wins straight away, there was a big contrast to the performances and results. I can't remember the last time a loanee from Ross County went to a club not in the Highlands. There are some promising players in that team though, Tony Dingwall (I know!) especially.
HoBNob
There really isn't much between Cowdenbeath and Alloas squad, the biggest difference is the manager, and in Jimmy Nicholl Cowden have a very decent one, Barry Smith is a honking piece of kit. With him Alloa will be left well adrift at the bottom. Reckon Cowdenbeath will pip Livingston to 8th.
Cowden til i die
I don't think JN can be described as a 'very decent one'. The first 1/3 of the season will be interesting to see how he does. His signings will also be key. He's a man with contacts - and can use them - and very likeable which makes players buy into what he says.
