Quitongo's Left Peg
An hour and 3/4s in the car. Fair distance to watch a friendly. So let the train (and bus) take the strain and use the hour forty to have a few drinks.

Think I'm going to phone Kilmarnock tomorrow to double check as they'v not confirmed anything, then book early train down to visit some of the Missus' family before the game. WhiteRoseKillie
When the word was about the team looking "down South" for games, I was hoping for something a bit more "Yorkshirey". Stuck on a 12hr stint that day anyhoo, so hopefully we're going to arrange something closer (for me, that is). Otherwise Motherwell at home is going to be my first chance to see AJ's latest selection in action - and we might all have given up hope for the season by then. CLANCY2KTID
£18.50 return on the train 6 of us going down.
Quitongo's Left Peg
£18.50 return on the train 6 of us going down. What train was that? EDIT - just realised that we'd looked and it was £31 odd for two tickets because the Missus has a railcard. Ignore me.

Ludo*1
Jamie McAllister signing. One that could go either way. On paper looks to be a solid addition but this could be the season too much for him. Or perhaps it was last season.

Cool let us know QLP. I'm going to ask for the day off work and go a drive into Annan with my papa since it's a hassle getting to Annan on the bus from where I'm coming from
cass316
Jamie McAllister signing. 36 year old full back. Not exactly filling me with confidence this signing.

cass316
Likewise. Played 40 games in the Championship last year. So he still might be in top condition. Yeovil did get relegated though.
Quitongo's Left Peg
You don't play 40 times in the Championship at that age if you're past it. Hopefully bring in a younger left-back alongside him and JM's experience can help him come along. A better left-back than Tesselaar IMO.
Richie95
TBH, even I'm a better left back than Tesselaar.
Killiesquirrel
Exactly - he's an improvement which is the main thing.
PrestersKTID
An hour and 3/4s in the car. Fair distance to watch a friendly. It can be done in just over an hour, if you go through mauchline, new cumnock etc. Driven it regularly.

I'd expect us to go down south the following week, then potentially another game at home the week before the season starts (depending on pitch)

Hopefully if he signs, he's a decent signing. Bit too short term for my liking. Doubt he'll be on peanuts either.
