Roberts is rapid and we already have Boyle who is quick also,McGinn is no slug either.

Roberts is the guy released by Falkirk yeah? Boyle's never made much impact last time you were here, didn't he struggle to get a game for Smiths team?

Ellis Plummer is joining on a year long loan from Man City, according to Sky Sports news.

He's a versatile defender who's just signed a new 2 year deal with them. He will be 20 in September and is apparently very highly rated at the Etihad. Great to see Tommy's extensive network of contacts down south baring fruit.

Seems to have made a real impression on the Oldham fans.

His wiki has something about him being subbed off after one minute of his Oldham debut?

Ah well, sure not many up here will have seen the guy play, here's hoping he's improved a bit since his Oldham jaunt.

"very highly rated at the Etihad"

He's 20 years old and is now preparing for a loan spell at St. Mirren. I'd definitely put him in the same bracket as other "very highly rated" Man City youngsters such as Marcos Lopes or Karim Rekik.

Has any young loan player ever been described as anything other than "highly rated" by their parent club?
