Happened in Rijeka aswell, I believe the boy got a flight home with the first team after getting medical attention at the ground.

I gave that a greenie which doesn't mean I like it but rather more that I remembered it happening (it was right in front of me) and I also believed he went home on the charter later that night.

In fact, I use to be a nodding acquaintance of the guy it happened to...

I saw that happening to a ref in an Amateur game back in the 80s. He was checking the nets at the start of the game and noticed that one part wasn't attached to the hook on the crossbar , he jumped up and tried to flick the net over the hook , but only succeeded in getting the hook caught on the ring on his finger , again it ripped the finger clean off !

It's a good reason to avoid fingerwear.

Bobby George is lucky still to have ten digits.

When I was working up in Aberdeen in the late 70s, early 80s, I went along to Pittodrie for a midweek reserve game and I was sitting in the Main Stand. Right in front of me on the touchline Doug Bell, who had just signed from St Mirren, blatantly head butted an opposition player and was sent off. I remember thinking that we don’t want that type of player at the club. How wrong I was.

Ah, would that be a Tillydrone based ex union member? I was friendly with another Tillydroner that passed six months before the Trade Unionist did.

Ah, so on Shift-Work there was a song called Edinburgh Man so he must've lived in Edinburgh around 1990?

Aye  Tillydrone lads :  two great mates taken too soon . Soccer Tilly ✊

Aye Edinburgh Man your spot on . 👍.  Shift work 👌🏼

Who are the best prospects from the academy this year? Ryan Duncan seems prominent in the clubs training video. Presumably Ngwenya is hoping for more playing time. Are there others who might break through?

Aye Ryan Duncan is one I think could impress this season. Seen him few times , One thing you will get from is 100% . I like him and think he can can take his opportunity when he gets it .Hopefully see him at Buckie next week

Quite a few snide c***s on here. Think I'll give it a massive swerve.
