Has the capacity at Pittodrie changed?

I'm convinced the capacity used to be 22,199, according to the SPFL website however it is now 20,897. Has there been a change or am I making the first figure up?

Hadnt seen the new figure but yes it is reduced from previous. They made a decision to not sell any restricted view tickets a year or two back

Indeed, and they have also covered the first three seats in the sections either side of the fence between the home and away fans, for reasons unknown.

Aberdeen

2 - 0 Rangers

20,010

Thats way back to 2007 so it's been like that for a few years.

The home end holds roughly 18k.

Not sure where over 2000 seats has disappeared to though, someone has mentioned that they don't include corporate now but that still doesn't add up.

I noticed that back in 91 Pittodrie was getting crowds of 24k.

Where have all these fans gone?

I believe the latest safety certificate for the ground stated that Pittodrie was to have a reduced usable capacity to around 20,900.

There's the link for anyone who is especially boring and finds interest in such things, like myself.

I don't thinkt he capacity has ever actually been 22,199 despite it being stated regularly.

Depends. Have Celtic visited recently because they tend to take some seats home with them.

Anyway...

Risk of the game being off tomorrow?

I've seen a few people are worried about the game but why should we be? St Mirren are without a home win all season and we are flying, especially away from home. Comfortable win to nil for me. Yes runs are there to be broken but I don't see it happening tomorrow.

Oh dear. Do you not remember the shambolic performance at Pittodrie where they got a draw?

I would have thought as a Dons fan you'd be more cautious. Granted the current regime is totally different these days but anything can happen. We SHOULD win this but remember they are fighting for their lives and will scrap for any points they can.

I do, but we weren't in amazing form then. Ash Taylor was still shaky and was to blame for one of the goals when he came marauding out of defence - something he doesn't do anymore. The handball was just lunacy from Reynolds. Don't 'oh dear' me you arsehole :P

I think you're just being a pessimistic (understandable) Dons fan. We aren't playing under McGhee or Craig Brown anymore. We haven't even let in a goal in 7 games ffs, you've got to be slightly confident!
