paranoid android
Some people will tell you Liam Smith is no better than McHattie or Jason Thomson - no offence, but I have to say I think he's better than they are.
NorthernJambo
Who are these people? They sound like fuds. I don't think Smith will better than CPats ([emoji173]️) but Smith looks every bit the very decent player.
topsider
He's already a better footballer than Patterson. If Smith can somehow manage to jump 10ft in the air and win every header then he'll be a better player
paranoid android
Doubt Smith will be as good as CPatz, although you never know. Crazy Calum is great, but he really is the most unpredictable player. I missed the Hamilton game - my mate was telling me yesterday that he had an absolute nightmare - said he played like a 'competition winner'! sjc
Patersons physicality will take him further in the game that Smith in my opinion even though technically I'd say Smith is slightly better than Paterson.
Tony Wonder
Smith has the potential to be a very good player but is a million miles away from Paterson. He's strong as an ox, probably the best player I've ever seen in the air at Hearts, has a good verging on brilliant delivery if he can get consistency and is always a goal threat. Defensively he can be a bit ropey but I genuinely think that's improving, Smith is a long way off all of that.
Winston Churchill
Paterson will never cut it in the EPL. That said. He is perfect for the championship. He won't sign a contract;somebody will hoover him up for around £300,000
Rovers1992/1993
Sorry about Liam Smith. Got injured during his second game for us. Dunno what's wrong with us at the minute. Injuries seem to crop up all the time at the minute..

It will be wonderful to cement our position as one of Scotland's giants.

the jambo-rocker
I will feel much better when this is officially approved, but it is very good news nonetheless. I'll be watching feeds of the stand getting updated every day next summer, like the sad b*****d that I am.
topcat(The most tip top)
"Calm yourselves down" statement on club website The City of Edinburgh Council Planning Dept today released their report on the proposed new Main Stand at Tynecastle. This is a legal requirement prior to the public hearing which is due to take place on Wednesday 12th October at the City Chambers. Many fans have picked up the fact that the CEC Planning Report is recommending that we are given consent for the Development (with certain conditions applied). While we see this recommendation as very welcome, we must point out that this does not mean we have planning permission and this will be decided by the Committee at next week’s hearing. We continue to work towards achieving a positive decision at the hearing and will obviously release more information following Wednesday’s crucial meeting.

JamieThomas
Seems like the formality of today's council meeting is as much of a breeze as was expected. Scotland's finest stadium is about to get even finer, lads.
Dipped Flake
hibsnet should be fun as the more sane members there (are there any?) get forced to admit that Greenginger/sergay etc are and always have been pure fantastists
