tamthebam
When going for a pint in a bar in Bridgetown it is considered polite to wear green and wish the regulars "the luck of the Irish". Orange marches celebrate Willie the Orange, the Dutchman who introduced citrus fruit to Scotland. It is good luck to cover the marchers in orange juice and any other liquids you have to hand. Why not go for a lovely stroll through Possilpark at night on your own and admire the stars and the city lights. Why not visit some of the lovely surrounding towns which are known for the fine dining and friendly locals like Airdrie and Coatbridge.
Hillonearth
We had a group of really arrogant obnoxious visitors to our work one time that were leaving Glasgow the next morning, and made the mistake of asking us where a good pub in the area was to go that night. Never found out how they enjoyed the Waterloo.
Zen Archer (Raconteur)
I enjoyed Fred MacAuley's view on Glasgow when he remarked that 'Tables and chairs on the pavement in Byres Road indicates a café, anywhere else in the city and it's a warrant sale'
