This will probably the first season they might need to do that, but why should they?

If I was being overpaid to be average at my job and everyone ignored my efforts and had a go at my boss, I wouldn't be bailing him out!

So we're all agreed? ALLY MUST STAY!

Utterly laughable when you consider how much money they've spent assembling that squad and how their hopless manager is the best paid in the country, especially when you compare it to the Thistle team who strolled this division two seasons ago, playing exciting and attractive, attacking football.

Here's how we assembled the key players in our championship winning squad:

Scott Fox - released from Celtic.

Stephen O'Donnell - released from Celtic.

Aaron Muirhead - signed from Annan.

Conrad Balatoni - released from Hearts.

Jordan McMillan - released from Dunfermline

Aaron Taylor-Sinclair - signed on a free from Montrose and earned himself a move to Wigan in the summer.

Chris Erskine - signed from Kilbirnie Ladeside.

Kris Doolan - signed from Auchinleck Talbot

Sean Welsh - released from Hibs

Steven Lawless - released from Motherwell

Ross Forbers - see above

James Craigen - spotted playing for his university team

Christie Elliot - signed from Whitley Bay

Steven Craig - signed on loan and then signed on his release from Ross County.

Normally I would agree, 'but', these are men that were stupid enough to sign for them.

Either way, they are fooked.

Not stupid. Just savvy enough to know they'll get paid for bugger all effort. Sevco and McCoist - a marriage made in heaven.

Aye we'll have a protest on the basis Ally lost one league game in two whole seasons.

And the fact the new season is a day old and we have just beaten one of our main rivals.

Just not good enough Ally.

Tarrier talk.

Afterwards Rangers boss McCoist was asked about the prospect of Green returning to the club in any sort of capacity.

"Whether he comes back or not remains to be seen," he said.

"I thought the timing of it again... it is a big day for the players, a big day for the supporters and even bigger day for Sandy Jardine's family.

"I just didn't think the timing of it was great.

"For the first time, one or two of the players actually said to me about the timing of all that kind of stuff.

"Everybody does their level best to keep players sheltered and away from it and we will continue to do that because they have to concentrate on results on the park.

"Sometimes it is a little bit of a sideshow we can do without."

f**k me its never this guys fault is it

what a laughable, pathetic excuse for manager.

Please keep him.
