One of the best awaydays in the country, should be nice weather and we have a decent recent record down there. Things looking up! You will definitely get tickets for Somerset , believe they are looking at how many ! 400 means Railway end ( away end) at moment stand is for home fans only , Falkirk received no stand tickets

Been fantastic for us so you don’t want to write him off, but he’s not getting any younger and does seem to regularly pick up niggles. JT only missed 3 games last season.
lichtiemike
JT only missed 3 games last season.Tbf he missed about 1/3 of the season before that, fair enough with a pretty bad injury. I think a lot on here miss the point, it’s not about suggesting getting someone in to replace our existing back 4 which most would agree have been excellent, but now would be a good time to bring in someone that play RB to build up a squad.Don’t really see why so many get so defensive at the suggestion of beefing up our squad a bit so we can play our midfielders in the positions they specialise in, we cant be going weeks playing players wildly out of positions. It’s not something I expect Campbell to change position on though as he’s always had a small squad and seems to prefer versatility within that.
afc_36_0
Anyone know why we’re only aloud a 750 capacity?

Nobody is getting defensive It just seems like a total waste of time getting a RB in. Squad is going to be beefy regardless and the squad has versatility in it for a reason. RB is a waste, too many players can cover it well enough. And is Stewart for example really a better right winger than a right back? I don’t think there’s much in it
Hammerafc
Anyone know why we’re only aloud a 750 capacity?Seems strange as it was 2000 for seated and 1000 for standing so I thought we would get in the middle of that somewhere. Also would it have been better to ask season ticket holders to register if they were going to attend a game to allow the club to sell tickets for those that are not attending?

Hammerafc
I think it was far more important to get cover for the left and central defence which has been achieved. Both Stewart and Gold are capable of playing right back so not sure the resources would be best spent just to get a back up for that position.

stan3600
Surely we will see some trialists tonight again? I don’t see much point otherwise. The squad are up to speed, we’ve got a few injuries and we’ve got Kelty on Saturday, which will be a tough one.
timlichtie
Surely we will see some trialists tonight again? There was talk of 3 or 4 from England or even further. We certainly need to conserve our best players for a likely tough game against Kelty on Saturday.

Pretty sure Stewart played in midfield but also wing back and right back a whole lot at Airdrie which makes sense, and I think RWB would probably be his best position. There’s not much in it between midfield and defence for me. No way it’s clear cut anyway. Even Gold? How many games has he played for us RB? Maybe even more than he has in midfield. Had 2 full seasons there didn’t he? Another RB for me be a waste of time and hopefully DC agrees. Use it to get more quality higher up the park DC did say there would be trialists tonight so see how they get on

stan3600
I heard Chris Hamilton if Hearts is one trialist. Who is the other?

stan3600
Glenn is certainly giving it a go, but I don’t think he’s heard of Sean Rooney. [emoji23] Give the lad a try on the other wing or through the middle.

stan3600
Bit of clinical finishing beats Chris H. If only we had… oh never mind.
lichtiekev
Swanks struggling in middle of park too, Williamson is massive boots to fill and don't think we have done it yet, Glen Gabriel is a no for me so far, tough task against Rooney tho and he won't be up against that quality in the league

Looks ok but nothing special.
