Don't think McCann will be given that big a budget but if he can get Meekings, Draper, Jones and Leahy (now ex Falkirk - and push Holt to left Mid) that would transform the team. I expect Wighton and El Bak to come on leaps and bounds this season, especially with a solid base in the team

You have zero chance of getting Jones ......

Apparently wanting the rest of his salary (170k apparently) upfront and in a lump sum, not in instalments which is probably stated in the contract. Won't win in court for sure.

Big gamble by Hartley. This will surely put off any future football employers touching him with a bargepole?
£170,000? Wait a fecking minute, how long did he have to go on his contract?

Leahy's already confirmed he's away back to England as well. Draper signed an extension til 2019 last year.

@jagfox99 a year and a bit apparently. 3 year extension in 2015: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/32348082

Did he not move up this way? If anyone knows where, we could always go and help pay the fat f##k his payoff  - in coppers like folks used to with mad alfie?

If Dundee haven't been responding to Hartley's calls, I imagine the lawyers will have advised him to do this. Can't really complain if we've not handled our responsibilities properly.

We'll probably end up paying him compensation for just a few months I guess.

Anyway when are we going to start hearing about players getting sacked? Hopefully starting with that c**t Hateley.

McCann's already been talking about being busy trying to bring in new players so I'm guessing he's sorting out replacements for the sh#te first

Interesting factoid here.

Our average attendance for this season just past, was actually higher than the 2015/16 season despite our abysmal performance, so despite Utd going down it actually didn't affect our overall attendances really (likely due to the return of Rangers), so if our performance had been better we may have even averaged higher than the 14/15 season, this is if you can trust the figures on Transfermarkt.

It's also safe to assume that with Hibs back next season, we will probably see another increase as they will have far larger traveling attendance than ICT did. So our budget before prize money is taken into account should barely have been affected despite what the papers seem to say.

Season Competition Matches     sold out      Spectators       Average
16/17 Scottish Premiership  Scottish Premiership      19      0       122.200       6.432
15/16 Scottish Premiership  Scottish Premiership      19      0       116.322       6.122
14/15 Scottish Premiership  Scottish Premiership       22      0       145.045       6.593

I reckon Hartley knows he's never going to be manager of a half decent club again.  Any future employer will look at how much he had to spend, where his team finished each year in the league and more importantly the sort of team he assembled after 3 / 4 years in charge.

If that's not enough his interview after the Hamilton game at Dens was an utter disgrace.  When asked directly if Dundee could stay up he twice said "hopefully".  Yet when he was sacked 2 / 3 days later he said he would have definitely kept Dundee up.  Utterly embarrassing.

Remember Hartley was the man that said he had tried EVERYTHING to turn things around.
