TheCelt67
The only reason you claim it's bizarre is because, and this is TRULY bizarre, sectarian singing was prominent in Dundee, and the one thing you have to cling onto is a forum where people have lied about both their own and other clubs since its inception. No, I claim it's bizarre because I cannot get my head around why someone who go along with a lie about their own club, especially when it comes to sectarianism. TheCelt67
This was the first question asked between me and you. You made a statement. Let's not start telling fibs. And I answered, that your fellow Dundee fans admitted to it. Now according to a Morton fan, they may be lying.
DeeTillEhDeh
The Irish national anthem is now considered bigoted or vile? Woosh! I didn't hear the Ra chant myself, but for arguments sake i won't doubt it was sung As a Catholic I find Celtic's support to be an insult to my religion. If most if them walked into church the roof would collapse at the shock.
DeeTillEhDeh
Standard from the Dee Derry boys and then throw in absolute roasters like dumbdumb and thread becomes a mess. Well if you make statement about hearing "vile and bigoted songs" I would at least expect this to be backed up with the names or lyrics. I suspected most people here anything Irish related being sung from celtic fans and automatically assume it is bigoted or vile. I'll name the songs you despicable little weasel: * The Celtic Symphony * Roll of Honour * Boys of the Old Brigade * The Fields of Athenry (with added lyrics)

DeeTillEhDeh
Yes, it's the Dundee Derry Boys that the Dundee support sing about isn't it? Do Dundee fans stick to the nonsense of how the name came about thanks to a dairy being near the stand or are they willing to hold their hands up and admit they are still using a term than came about from a time when Dundee fans were singing one or two questionable songs shall we say? The irony is if it were bigoted would it not be Londonderry Boys?

Dee Man
Massive credit to the boy who was sat himself in front of me in the Derry yesterday dishing out pelters to the ref, lino and Celtic players for the entire game yesterday. Top class entertainment.

BStoFYI
Bought my tickets for the Derry online today and there was less than 100 left. I assume that it's still reserving tickets for ST holders? Why are a lot of ST holders not buying tickets for the game? Everyone knows you don't get cup games with it. Surely an extra fiver isn't putting these "diehards" off? We had plus 5k on Saturday on the coldest day I can remember against Hamilton. But it looks like we'll have a lot less against the best team in the land in a winnable tie that could open up the draw and get us to the latter stages of this cup. Yes that we are! I know its a tiny minority of Dundee and Celtic fans but why do our clubs still have a tiny bit of animosity toward each other? Its bad enough that some idiots who support my team, and some idiots that support Hearts have an issue with each other but Dundee and Celtic should have no hostility beyond what is actually happening on the park on a given day.... If every one just gave up nationalism of any sort, gave up interest in PR VS AR vs constitutional democracy VS a republic etc etc, if we just focused on the small things people would find more in common with one another... Yeah folk say am A unionist and as regards GB thats true but thats more to do with family ties and not giving up on helping the fellow worker in Liverpool. The Lower and lower middle classes have to fight for everything they get vs the rich and the elites, including fabian socialists etc, Libertarian socialism is the ideal, its a political creed that really isn't a creed. Football should be more important than politics beyond the things almost every one sane can agree on such as being against racism or being in support of raising funds to treat illness and poverty. Ludo*1
I think pretty much every club in Scotland has a 'tiny bit of animosity' towards both of the Bigot Brothers, because of what they represent. It's not particularly unusual to just see Dundee have a problem, wherever they two go there is usually trouble/animosity.

If you go about branding people bigots because they support a football team, you can hardly be surprised some might feel animosity towards you
