mrcat1990
Hideously cheap looking. What's the fascination currently in making trainers goretex? If you want waterproof buy goretex hiking boots. Trainers are for sports or urban wear, not tramping about the munros. . To be fair with the horrific Scottish climate it makes sense. Any suede trainer gets worn about twice in six months and most leather trainers are bawfing.
Honest_Man#1
Yeah. More comfortable than shoes. That is just unacceptable. One of the jakiest things I can think of is seeing people at their work wearing trousers and a pair of beast shoes. Pretty sure you can get them at any 10 pin bowling alley. This is the reason I occasionally look through this thread. Some of the responses to pictures are absolutely brilliant.
dave.j
With some trepidation I'm going to ask P&B's advice Yes or no? £60 No. My hatred of those trainers knows no bounds.
Deeboy
What are these supposed to be? What is the 'tech' part of the name for/about?
Bert Raccoon
I've got a pair of those Spezials as well. As has been said, nice trainers but lose shape quite rapidly.

Bert Raccoon
After careful consideration of all your replies I've decided to treat myself. Just beware, after one day wearing mine I was saying everything was "teckle" and had a £60 a day cocaine habit.
Dee Dee
Just beware, after one day wearing mine I was saying everything was "teckle" and had a £60 a day cocaine habit. I might be picking you up wrong, Bert, but are saying that's a bad thing? FWIW, KB, it's a no from me, on the trainers. They're awright but not £60 awright. You dig?
Monster
To be fair with the horrific Scottish climate it makes sense. One coat does for the life of the trainer.
Deeboy
It's a no from me. They'd have been nice all the lighter blue suede.
The Grass Is Greener.
I got Navy Hamburgs last week because my Navy Gazelles are fucked. Should have went to a shop to try them on first because they're not that comfortable tbh. Kind of regret buying them now.
M0rtonfc
Old classics, will do for cutting about in the summer. Edited March 3, 2016 by M0rtonfc
Monster
I got a new pair of trainers. First pair I think in over 3 years or so where I've paid over 40 pound. What happened to: 'I have a family so I wear tink trainers!'? As it happens Samba are very decent and should last a while. Not keen on white soles though.
Monster
Is this Dundonian logic: Didn't buy property, got some trainers but, eh?
Mr Rational
Yer trainers are okay actually! I wouldn't wear them though, not because they are minging, I just don't like Sambas, but if it is yer thing then bash on as they look decent enough!
Miguel Sanchez
That is just unacceptable. One of the jakiest things I can think of is seeing people at their work wearing trousers and a pair of beast shoes. Admittedly I'm not teaming them with smart trousers. Be sure to keep a lookout for someone wearing those if you want to hurl abuse at them, though
