I couldn't be bothered to do a Meh Derby flashback yesterday. Apologies to everyone. I'll leave you with a couple of fun facts instead.

'MEH DERBY' FUN FACT

It is likely that former Kilmarnock player Frazer Wright will take a place in St. Johnstone's starting XI this afternoon. Few Kilmarnock supporters will forget the controversy it created when Wright bravely (or foolishly) decided to jump from one Meh Derby team to another. St. Johnstone supporters were naturally delighted. On the other hand, the transfer caused a certain amount of outrage amongst Saints' derby rivals. A couple of Killie supporters were quite disappointed about it. They occasionally boo him when he gains possession of the ball and they cheer when he makes a mistake.

'MEH DERBY' FUN CHRISTMAS FACT

Jesus Christ isn't a football fan but, if he was, he wouldn't support either of these teams.

Spoony retains his place in the team and McFadden is in the starting XI despite the plastic pitch. Worryingly there's no striker on the bench. With Morgan being our only substitute option recently, we're not really any worse off though.

The tension is unbearable here. Rather bizarrely, Radio Scotland are choosing to focus on the New Firm Derby. I am assuming that they're too scared to send any reporters to Rugby Park in case they get caught up in the pre-match violence.

Not for first time this season, Saints were very slow out of the blocks and Mannus was forced into a smart save in the opening minutes. He was the goalkeeper asked to make the important saves but we did hit (top of) bar and had one cleared off the line in the first half.

Killie looked dangerous in the first half but Saints improved after break and seemed to get the midfielders on the ball in better areas. Croft made an impact off the bench and Wotherspoon improved when moved in behind Graham. Just before the goal, Davidson came on for Wotherspoon and O'Halloran moved up top and within seconds he was in behind the Killie defence, going to ground about 8 yards from goal. Ref pointed straight to spot but not convinced defender didn't get a toe to the ball. When he'd given the pen, was surprised not to see red card though.

Possibly fortunate to get all three points but continues what is becoming a decent run.
