As was asked (and wilfully ignored) why would the UK cling on to to such a 'basket case'? It's utterly baffling.

The truth is that even if they really believe we're a basket case drain, they want to own us as a symbol of status because UKOK.

Umm....It wasn't me who said it twas the rather fit blond witch who's a definite wid.  I would imagine it's because they love us and the UK wouldnae' be the same without us ei

I'll take that as a no then.

A simple 'no' doesn't make sense to your question. To answer it properly.... Why does  the Uk hold on to this basket case?

The UK needs somewhere to house it's nuclear deterrent.

Scotland has a little bit of  oil

England doesn't want there to be extra duties on whisky or Pringle socks.

Scottish farm produce is the best in The UK

There are some nice places to visit  here.

Scottish athletes do well for Team GB.

Catriona Shearer is fit as f*ck.

That's the upside of having Scotland in the UK.

The downside.....

The 2 million sanctimonious p***ks that live here that are so easily offended by everything that happens south of the border.

The Scottish fiscal deficit.....

Didn't happen, chum.

Oh i think it did.Cabinet giving the green light for Trump to ride roughshod over the locals at Balmedie and overturning the council decision to refuse. He smelled Donald's money and cozied up,ignored environmental issues and pushed it through with wild fantasy job figures provided by Donald.Metaphorically he jumped right into Donalds bed.
