Tamdunk
Messi and C. Ronaldo are the two best players ever and have delivered their best in the CL more than any other competition. Those two are a given and anyone disregarding them is simply wrong. The other three? Zidane and Xavi I think are nailed on. The 5th? That's a tough one. Ronaldinho? Raul? Maldini? There really are a whole bunch of players that there are viable arguments for. I'm struggling to think of another that stood out though. Saying Seedorf is the best CL player ever is akin to saying Cafu is the best World Cup player ever. I agree both have done great and unmatched things in their respective competitions but neither was really pivotal to their team's success, were they? 4 winners medals with 3 different clubs, easy. Any c**t could do it...

BradHorse
4 winners medals with 3 different clubs, easy. Any c**t could do it... That's not really what I was getting at though, ye know? Is Seedorf the most successful CL player in history? Without a doubt. Is he in the top 5 most influential players in the competition's history? Not for me. I am aware if you do 'the best' then it will inevitably become a Ronaldo v Messi shitfest on here. It's about the players you liked the best; the players you enjoyed watching. There have been some really good shouts so far.
