Is Benny McCarthy still going about?

Benny Mccarthy got robbed at gunpoint last week

He also lives in Edinburgh - his wife owns a hair salon in Brunstfield - he met her when in London playing for West Ham

Edit - he was in South Africa when he got robbed at gunpoint

I had no idea he was at Villa - he always seemed like a good guy to be fair, was just a bit injury prone and inconsistent

would definetley been one of my favourite England players in the last 15 years as in wanting him to do well, hugely talented player just didn't ever fill the potential ,as you say very injury prone,

Yeah he still had a decent few spells though - around 04-06 he was pretty decent although over shadowed by the likes of Gerrard and Lampard. Seems like a thoroughly nice chap though and his mrs is a fine slice of meat.

Pedro has 11 goals from 44 appearances this season. Mostly from the bench - bit difficult to displace Messi, Neymar, or Saurez from the starting 11. He's also scored a couple of goals for Spain from his 7 caps since the World Cup.

The only thing that will stop him moving to Arsenal this summer is Barca's transfer ban - they won't be keen to let him go even if he wants to move for more starts.

Richard Wright must have though all his christmases had come at once, when Man City signed him. He's just signed a 1 year extension, having not played a game in 3 seasons.

He's probably made enough money the past 3 years to set him up for life, whilst sitting watching games from the bench, or even the stand.
