FlyerTon
Makes you want to buy steaks instead... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-32911228 "About 280,000 people discover the gut-wrenching pain of a campylobacter infection each year - symptoms include diarrhoea, stomach pains and cramps, fever, and generally feeling unwell"
Mr Bairn
Good. I've never gotten food poisoning and have chicken about 3 times a week. Natural selection IMO
Miguel Sanchez
"Steps to avoid it include covering and chilling raw chicken, not washing raw chicken, cooking it thoroughly and washing hands and used utensils thoroughly." Oh good, I'll be safe then, seeing as I am capable of cooking my food.
FlyerTon
Good. I've never gotten food poisoning and have chicken about 3 times a week. Natural selection IMO Had a bad bought of food poisoning a long time ago due a dodgy chicken curry (carry out) That was brutal. With red meat you don't have the same problem. FlyerTon
You're much more likely to get food poisoning (poultry) eating out due to dodgy de-frost and re-heat techniques. To be safer, order a nice fillet steak or something.

JogaBonito
I didn't know people washed their meat. That sounds disgusting, and ironically, pretty unhygienic.

Aye I'd never heard of this until recently and thought it was a made up thing that no one actually did. What kind of moron runs a chicken under a tap?! FlyerTon
280,000 people think raw chicken is OK to eat. I wonder what the proportion of 'eating out' versus 'home cooked' Festive season eating turkey out turned fatal: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11365408/Essex-pub-chef-and-manager-jailed-after-diner-dies-and-31-others-taken-ill-with-food-poisoning.html
KnightswoodBear
A couple of boys in the work went to KFC for their lunch the other week. Both their zinger burgers were pretty much raw in the middle. When they returned to the counter to point this out, the boy behind the counter said they were fine and that "its the spice mixture that makes the chicken look like that". Needless to say after asking to speak to an adult they got their money back and an apology.

Sergeant Wilson
You should try a live one. Much more fun. Why would I wash a live chicken? Washing chicken before cooking was the actual advice at one time. Obviously shit advice, but that's what we were told.
P45
That sounds horrible. A chicken sandwich with no mayo would be dry as f**k.

MONKMAN
Good. I've never gotten food poisoning and have chicken about 3 times a week. Natural selection IMO I'd imagine you'd have to be a complete crayon eater, to give yourself food poisoning.
