Bigmouth Strikes Again
Predicted this would happen in jest on the Dundee thread weeks ago. Come true now. All the best with him. Hopeless. Thank you.
sergie's no1 fan
If anyone can be arsed, skip to 1.35ish on this video to see what he can offer. Dundee fans will remember this one well.

vikingTON
Can experienced, real fitba man Gus McPherson turn around the career of a once hotly-tipped Scotland international goalkeeper? Spoiler Probably not. I'm firmly in the 'gubbins signing' camp but there is a tiny chance that the move might work out well for all parties in a way that some of the obvious, total haddies from English pub leagues that we've been looking at obviously wouldn't. You should not be gambling in such a key position though IMO - the odds of success for this type of signing should be reserved for sand-dancer wingers.

Two in the final game of the regular season, to help us to a 3-2 win - that's a 9 point swing in those two games. port-ton
Look we've all stood on a ball and fell on our c**t in front of thousands of people before. People in glass houses etcMore worried about him chucking in goals than fluke hilarious mishaps like the St mirren game.We survived Ramsbottom so we can survive anything, but I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about this signing for some reason.
RossBFaeDundee
FWIW, I hope it works out, just that the hope outweighs the faith for me. He had a spell last season where he had a good few games, particularly beating Hearts 3-1 (though the goal he gave away was distinctly Hamilton-esque).
Ludo*1
This howler doesn't get talked about enough. It was typical of Hamilton.

It’s not quite Stockholm Syndrome but it’s in the same family for sure.

Cardle is Magic
Someone on our thread linked us with Hamilton and I was absolutely gutted. I’d rather keep OFW as No 1 and his hands don’t work properly.
BraeTon74
I'd rather have Hamilton behind a defence without McGinty in it than anyone behind Sean McGinty. Thats the only saving grace really.

That match was the final straw for me, McPake stuck with him for a load more games though. Desperately hoping he would turn out good, can't blame him, we paid 100k. Disaster.
port-ton
Anytime I've seen him he's looked like the best Dundee keeper since Speroni.
Dunning1874
Looking at the squads across the division, we were pretty clearly already relegation favourites as things stood. Having finished 9th last season, not noticeably strengthened in any area of the park and only having 15 players signed, which included four youngsters with fewer than 20 appearances between them, you couldn't really argue otherwise. There was however some cause for hope in that we obviously had five or six signings to go and while gambles would inevitably be among them, three or four players better than we already have to go straight into the starting XI could easily turn us into looking like a solid mid-table outfit. We'd been fortunate enough to get rid of some of the worst of the shite of last season in McGinty, Salkeld and Orsi, with two of them now stinking out a relegation rival. Now, in the most critical signing we had to make, we've replaced a goalkeeper who saved us several points across the season with the undoubted worst goalkeeper in the division who has been an utter joke figure at every club he's played for. A player with a worse reputation than Ryan fucking Scully. When you're going to be relegation contenders a competent goalkeeper is absolutely crucial. We've signed the only one in the country who might be as bad as Sam Ramsbottom. Just relegate us now and be done with it.

Rather late to the party with this meltdown, given that this inevitable 'dung manager, dung players - more of the same tedious shite on the park' outcome of a play-off win was spelled out to you way back in April, and yet you insisted that relegation then would be a much worse outcome. And yet here we are, having pointlessly delayed an unavoidable rebuild job, with the goodwill of the new regime now resting in the clownlike hands of Jack Hamilton and co.
