I've never heard of this tbh, since when are referees medically qualified enough to determine whether treatment is required?

Obviously they're not, but if a player happened to be seriously injured and the medics ignored it because they thought it would disadvantage their team by coming on, they'd rightly be criticized.

It was explained on SSN that the referee asked the player if he wanted treatment, which he must have signalled that he did, therefore the medics had to be called on. Mourinho is absolutely the one in the wrong here.

Ozil and Sanchez both standing watching Ward move up towards the box, neither do anything about it, he scores. Wenger needs to get them fucking sorted.
