Ruth is also the most popular politician in Scotland.

Yet people think there will be another referendum when Sturgeons approval rating is lower than that of the Conservatives!?.....

Aye, okay.

Britain Elects ‏@britainelects  Sep 2

On how well Ruth Davidson is doing as leader of the Scottish Conservatives: Well: 46% Badly: 25% NET: +21 (via YouGov)

Britain Elects ‏@britainelects  Sep 2

Scotland // On how well Nicola Sturgeon is doing as First Minister: Well: 53% Badly: 33% NET: +20 (via YouGov)

I take it's these polls you're basing that ridiculous claim upon. Regardless of the net figures being a weird way to gauge popularity, the question was how good a job they are doing.

If you are using the yougov polling to back that up, be aware that anybody who has stated a SNP viewpoint in the past isnt being asked political questions by yougov, except for the first one which is the party you support, then to products and opinions on TV programmes. Kellner helping to set the establishment agenda and not reporting the facts, how very yoon of him

Has it not occurred to anybody that people are giving her approval ratings because she's actually doing a terrible job and helping out the SNP everytime she opens her gobshite of a mouth?

If she was truly rated higher than Sturgeon in Scotland, then the SNP would be in deep deep trouble. But I would suspect that they aren't.

The popularity of the SNP is on the decline. That's an undeniable fact.

You keep telling yourself that.

People are starting to see through the populist rhetoric. I did from the very start but thankfully those who wanted to believe are realising that as well.

You were delusional from the very start and have yet to find the cure.

SNP r definitly on decline m8.

Only increased their share of the vote in the last 6 Holyrood/Westminster elections in a row m8.

It's a curious trait of life's losers at the moment - the more that they're utterly routed at elections, the more that they delude themselves into thinking that they're on the right track and that the SNP's downfall is imminent. From Davidson all the way down to the most gormless of followers.

When of course in reality The Only Show In Town will complete their complete and utter dominance of Scottish politics, by demolishing the last hideouts of the Laebur career politician in the local councils next May.

The Unionist argument seems to have regressed since the EU vote. It now largely consists of playground insults aimed at Nicola Sturgeon. "Wee Nippy" seems to be a favourite. Not sure what the watershed moment for this was because their seems to be an assumption that nothing has changed as a result of the vote, hence the "we voted two years ago" argument championed by Ruth Davidson, the hard-line unionist press and their readers. Could be fear IMO.

There seems to be this weird logic that because some Labour voters switched to the Tories and the SNP yet again increased their share of the vote and yet again romped home to another crushing election win, this is somehow terrible news for the SNP. Some folk really are thick as shit.
