The Terrible Journalism & Tom English Thread

90% going for The Rangers to win at least 1 trophy, 70% taking The Rangers to finish in the top 2, 30% taking The Rangers to win the league, 60% naming a The Rangers player as POTY, 50% plump for The Rangers to win the League Cup with 10% going for Celtic.

Too many wage thieves in that section of the industry.

Don't need to guess who they support then. Kenny McDonald going for a Rangers league and Scottish cup double with Joey Barton player of the year

Delusional fucking ***

The worst thing is even if you were a *** and honestly thought they were going to win the league, you'd still say Celtic publically because of the odds on Celtic not winning their league are probably the lowest in Europe.

But to come out publically and be so bitter to think Celtic wouldn't even win a trophy is fucking horrific.

Its no wonder that mob are a mess. Said it before but they genuinely have the most delusional and gullible set of fans on the planet. Still chuckle thinking about Charles Green sticking on an orange top and them proclaiming him as the messiah hahaha.

Frightening thing is they probably won't even be called out on it. People talk about how bad the standard of Scottish football is, but the worst thing about Scottish football is easily the standard of the media.

BT at least try and act like they give a f**k

Jeff Stelling also insists on calling League One and Two the Scottish first and second division. Not as if it's the same league naming format as they use in England.

Related to the almost-unanimous coronation of Clyde as this season's League Two winners in the previous page's clipping, Radio Scotland just did the Scottish Cup Fourth Round draw, before immediately handing over to a lengthy "come and get me" pseudo job interview with Barry Ferguson conducted by his media pals, in which his singular lack of success was put down to Clyde's status as paupers. This isn't the first time they've done this either. Surely the Clyde fans will be glad when he finally manages to wriggle free.

I remember when Barry Ferguson took over at Clyde and pretty much every pundit had them down to romp through the league with ease. The fact that Clyde have achieved complete f**k all down in League 2 is surely an indication that he is an upper fifth tier, lower League 2 manager at best.

Also that at home with the Ferguson's pish gave me AIDS.

Hugh Keevins says there is no way Albion Rovers ( if they get through ) can host Sellik at Cliftonhill and that they will need to switch Stadiums.

Why ?

Just set the Crowd limit at whatever is safe and get on with it.

The "safe" limit at Cliftonhill would be a few hundred at best.

Albion Rovers, should they get through, would want to make as much money as possible from the game, so would look to move stadium.

They've played Motherwell & Rangers in the Scottish Cup over the last couple of years.  On both occasions they used New Douglas Park.  I'd imagine they'd do the same again, with Accies being drawn away from home that weekend.

Capacity is about 1200 at Cliftonhill (know this from experience last season when we were given circa 800 tickets for the second game there). Would this game really attract more than that?

You're right of course but then again you're up against the governing power of Scottish football, Old Firm mob rule.

A Celtic game in Coatbridge, and you think they'd only take 800?  Ok then...

That wasn't the question though, was it?  He asked "would this game attract more than that", meaning a capacity of 1200 with 800 away fans.  Of course it would.

Considering the financial incentive Albion Rovers would have to move the game elsewhere, there's absolutely no chance they would keep it at Cliftonhill.

Recent evidence supports this.

I thought we were talking about Albion Rovers hosting Selkirk at Cliftonhill since Keevins seemingly said they would be unable to? As per the post below;
