"The performances of midfield ace Ali Crawford, defender Mikey Devlin and talismanic frontman Darian MacKinnon are three such beacons of hope as Hamilton prepare for another relegation dogfight."

That's an absolute car crash starting with the opening paragraph. I dread automatic relegation more than a playoff, and I'm sure Inverness aren't thinking "we want to avoid relegation, but the dreaded playoff is far worse.

Next, Dundee have flirted with the top six all season. Have they? They were at the bottom of the table with us a few months back.

Not a horrendous article overall but I did like this line -

"Forfar’s plastic pitch might be easy on the eye but Messi and Ronaldo would have struggled to control a ball that bounced as high enough to scatter the seagulls as they glided overhead"

The best columnist around spills the beans on why he thinks he didn't get a job at Rangers..

"But the truth is, for whatever reason, I left the meeting feeling pretty sure that I wasn’t his cup of tea."

" I’ve seen a lot of people bringing up what went on all those years ago when Paul le Guen was the manager. To this day I’m still accused of undermining the guy. That’s absolute b******s and I’m sick to the back teeth of hearing it. I was working under a manager who accepted losing matches. If it’s a crime that I wasn't capable of accepting that then, yes, I’m guilty."

"There was a point when he asked me about my hopes and ambitions for the future and I looked him in the eye and told him the truth. One day I hope to be the manager of Rangers.....Did that cost me my chance of getting the job? I’ll probably never know the answer."

I wonder Barry if showing ambition was the reason or the fact you've been a massive failure as a manager so far.  Tough one.

That's a fabulously hilarious piece.  It almost reads like a parody.

Ferguson was a spectacular and sustained failure in his role at Clyde, yet wonders if the current Rangers manager might see him as a professional threat.

Magnificent delusion.  The guy's just thick.

At the BBC isn't bitter...

I'm a County fan and even I'm not going to pretend that's not completely true. He got no where near to touching Schalk.

Especially when phantom penalties are given for the bigots. They would just never use such language.

I'm sure it was described as dubious when they got their penalty against us, despite it being utterly blatant and live on TV with multiple replays shown by the time they posted.

Strange.
