tamthebam Posted Friday at 16:25 Share Posted Friday at 16:25 some 35 years ago the Meadowbank fanzine AWOL featured a cartoon of a mock Daily Record- on the front page was the headline "McCoist finds 20p" and on the back page "Found 10 p at Christmas, but it was Irish" I always remember Scottish football reporting as being CeltGers centred and anything outside of the top league was generally ignored. This is one of the reasons the football fanzine started- to report on the smaller clubs - and the fanzine begat internet sites such as Div's magnificent organ here. Perhaps the only difference between then and now is the death of local journalism. For example you used to get a nice Friday preview in the Edinburgh Evening News of the local East Junior and East of Scotland League matches. Now the coverage is mainly Hibs and Hearts with the odd mention of Spartans and the very odd mention of Edinburgh City (well, we are very odd to be fair)

Seems like he deserves it.

What in the ever loving f**k? The man is a f**king idiot. I was reading the piece, unaware of who the author was, I get about 2 paragraphs in and there it is, another painful Englishism. Looks like sone rare feat right enough. Utter cretin.

Not only does it use the clunkiest most antiquated commenting software imaginable, but yestreen I counted the active HYSs on the Football Home Screen and the score was English Football 18, German Football 1, Scottish Football 0. Technically there were two German stories but one of them was about 'ARRY KANE'S BAYERN! so I re-catgorised it.
