Heart of Midlothian v Partick Thistle, 22/08/2015

Recommended Posts

Will be very interesting to see how Hearts do against Celtic.

For those that were there, was 3-0 about right, or harsh on Hearts?

It seemed about right.

If Partick had got really lucky they might have scratched 2-2 if Hearts had got really lucky that could have been six.

On the whole Thistle didn't look much better to worse than Motherwell.

Morgaro Gomis, btw. Absolutely fucking outstanding again.

I thought he'd struggle a bit this season but he's absolutely thriving so far.

No Walker or Pallardo in the team, yet we still won at a total canter. So, so pleasing.

Jimmy was outstanding. Did he get any of the three motm awards?

We never really looked like scoring outside a twitch in the second half.

The three separate man of the match awards went to Gomis, Sow, and Nicholson.

Some great performances today, but I thought Sam Nic was our top guy.

Thistle caused us a few problems in the first half, but we deserved the win.

Juanma was third favourite to get to the ball for his goal, but he showed great pace and strength to make the chance, and great composure to finish it.

Rossi strolled it, and is looking like a great signing.

At the penalty, Robbie made a point of telling our players to follow in, and, sure enough, wee Sam was first to it.

Another fantastic result - delighted.

Points in the bag early doors - magic!

Cerny made a couple of good saves, Booth was ok, Miller was ok and McDaid looked good when he came on.

Everything else about that was just different shades of shite.

Hearts could have had a few more, think Nicholson missed an absolute sitter, and they probably could have had another penalty.

Except Osman's header we didn't look like scoring. Amoo was by a country mile the worst player on that park.

Utterly depressing performance. Keep playing like that and not even Killie can save us.

It's amazing the number of clubs that save their shitest performance for Hearts.

Was McDaid the boy with the pink boots on the left wing? Very lively when he came on if so.

Yup, a zirconium style gem amongst the dung :(

As Gregg Wallace said though our poor play was (hopefully) down to Heart's dominant performance.

Not a lot between Heart of Midlothian and Celtic in terms of the matches I have witnessed against the Jags this season.
