There's never any shame in losing to del Potro obviously, but given Murray is the fitter player, plus his five set record compared to him, it does seem pretty disappointing. Everytime Andy Murray loses you go through the first four stages of the grieving process. Shock - The mighty Andy Murray lost, with his superior fitness and all round excellentness. Arrrrgh! Denial - How can he lose? He has a great five set record and his opponent doesn't. Arrrrrrrgh! Frustration - This was his big chance and he fucked it up. Arrrrrrrrgh! Depression - Oh I can't cope. His grandfather was buried today. In the circumstances I think any kind of display shows how much of a fighter he is. He is protecting his back, hence his serve has dropped significantly over the last month. He needs rested. I hope he doesn't play doubles tomorrow.

dogmc
Credit to Edmund for the hold, but that's a fierce amount of work just to save a 2nd break.

dogmc
I'd stand andy Murray down now the games a bogey. Let Inglot partner Jamie, n let Evans and/or Edmund finish the tie. Andy has more than done his bit for Davis Cup, time to let him concentrate on rest of his singles career
dogmc
Minter for Britain. Can't see Del Potro losing the singles so tie over. Disagree....Murray has run himself into the ground over the season and missed a family funeral today. It still took a superb performance to beat him from del potro. Edmund is still learning. If you forget last year, any other year in last 30 odd a Davis Cup semi final would be an astonishing achievement.
Northsea80
Inglot wasn't picked so would be Evans of Edmund to partner Jamie Murray.
