Honest_Man#1
Might not be breaking the rules, but he’s a cheat to me. Will be looking at results hoping he’s punted out as early as possible from now on tbh.

Bully Wee Villa
Impressive stuff. Could she win the whole thing?
BillyAnchor
She avoids having to play Barty who lost a very close one. Now up against Rogers who is the last American in it which might get the fans pumped.
Loki
From 2-0 down in the first set she (Emma Raducanu) has reeled off eight successive games and is now a break up in the second. She had game points to win the first two games too. Edited September 6, 2021 by Loki
Bully Wee Villa
Impressive again. Feared the worst when she lost those first twi tight games. Shows what I know.
Loki
6-2 6-1 as well as Raducanu played Shelby Rogers gifted her so many points. Did well just to stay solid and just extract the errors from her opponent. A very composed performance.
Mark Connolly
How long until this becomes the Emma Radacanu Latest and General Tennis Chat thread?
GaryMc93
Bencic up next which is also winnable. Obviously in decent form with the gold in Tokyo but never really had consistent runs to the latter stage in the majors especially with some of the draws she's had. Raducanu does seem to show the same competitive streak and will to win as Andy and appeared to have most of the crowd support today. Only question is how long until she's English when she wins and British when she loses.
MP_MFC
I recall her kicking about getting interviewed on the bbc with England tops on at Wimbledon during the Euros and before she lost so I’d say already happened.

She made the QF at a younger age than Raducanu by beating Jankovic and Kerber (both top 10)and the last time she played here she lost in the semi finals to the winner. She would have had a far better career if it wasn't ravaged by injuries. Raducanu has been great thus far, but she hasn't played anyone inside the top 40 yet. The best thing about Raducanu is her nationality - she can be Chinese, Canadian, Romanian, English or British. Either way she's got a very bright future ahead of her.
Loki
Djokovic loses the first set 6-1. Brooksby’s most famous win so far was ending Berdych’s grand slam career.

Lex
Djokovic quite often loses the first set. Gets him wound up and angry and that’s when he’s at his best.Berretini for Novak again in the quarters. This is the third slam in a row they will meet, he beat the Italian in the final at Wimbledon (lost the first set in that one too) and the quarters at the French. Third time lucky for Matteo? Unlikely.Zverev and Medvedev the only other two left you feel have an outside chance of stopping him.
