I find it extraordinary that we live in a country where people can mount an argument that says with frowny faces that benefits are just unaffordable whilst then saying 'ah now Trident.. There's no way at all that anyone sitting in a successful job/career would be bitter to this extent about poor people scrabbling about for comparative sweeties. He's clearly either in a shite dead end job or failed the ESA medical and is bitterly jealous of those who didn't. Alternatively he was trolling and has fucked it up to the extent that he has no way of escaping it with a shred of credibility. Ironic as he had none to begin with. That is an appalling number of people. It's a social disaster for them and their families. You don't deal with it by simply handing over £70 a week no questions asked, turn a blind eye. How the hell is that helping anyone? They need focussed, targetted help to get them into a position where they can once again take personal responsibility for themselves and their families because it helps them, their children and their community financially and socially. That is a socialist ideal. Socialism is not about simply handing over welfare. BTW I asked this earlier. When you say £70 a week are you including ALL benefits such as housing benefit etc?
