I'm sure he would have much preferred a team paid compensation for him and allowed him to sign a contract somewhere than have to play as an amateur. The club were well within their rights to retain his registration, but I do have some sympathy for him (although it's somewhat diminished by his off-field behaviour). I'd guess that he's probably not qualified to do much else, and I don't blame him for trying to continue to make a living (or at least part of one) out of football any way he was able to. The paedo part was you as in Ayr fans in general because it wasn't just one or two idiots, it was a lot of idiots. Tragically, the actions of Ayr fans who sing utter pish which has NO PLACE at a football ground seem quite happy to inflict their vileness on others.
