New Forfar manager

Recommended Posts

As if. Why on Earth would Bollan leave a fairly historic club with terrific facilities, some support, a track record with young players and within Greater Glasgow to go to, respectfully, a village side who for almost their entire history have been in the bottom or next-to-bottom division in Scotland, albeit they have a good colour scheme.

We have been in the play offs almost every year......some names were Malpas...Cooper-Anderson....Murray

Danny Lennon? He would have been a step in the right direction.

Will give Bollan a chance but not at all inspired by this appointment, as I already said, not better than the previous manager or yesterday's temp.

He's from and lives in Dundee, why would he want to continue to travel to the land of the unwashed is what you should be asking?

Historic? Airdrie have only been around since 2002?

He did say at the last airdrie v Forfar game , to one of our lady supporters Woman should be at home doing the dishes not watching football

That was to a board members wife ,

Surely our board would remember that and not appoint a village idiot like bollan

I remember similar stories about Bollan being favourite for the Brechin job before Ray McKinnon was appointed. He even convinced himself that he had the job and handed in his resignation at his day job. Would have loved to be his boss when he asked for the resignation to be withdrawn.

Colin Paterson, who writes for the Airdrie and Coatbridge advertiser, and is generally pretty spot-on, has just posted this on Twitter:

Gary Bollan has left Airdrieonians to become Forfar Athletic's new manager. Club statement from the Diamonds expected shortly.

Colin doesn't post nonsense and rumours.
