zidane's child
Slightly off topic, but I hate it when the MP's who voted to get Corbyn on the leadership ballot back in 2015 because "it widened the debate and gave the left a voice" now ridicule him for being leader and don't like his policies etc.

Hmmmmm. Funnily enough you do not support Labour nor vote for it. While your agenda is clear there are those who both support Labour Friends of Israel and Labour Friends of Palestine & the Middle East. Clearly though those who support the former are a bit too "Jewish" for you.

I'm not one to go standing up for OMD all the time, but anyone who does not, unequivocally and absolutely, condemn that current actions of the Israeli Government, is an apologist for an apartheid regime. Regardless of what they're doing to the Palestinians, they've just passed a law which divides their citizens' status by religion. An actual fucking law. Which, without the need for a set of coy inverted commas means, that the Israeli Government* has decided that some of their own citizens aren't Jewish enough. And yet, those (like me) who think this to be a wee bit divisive and express such an opinion are apparently the racist and anti-semitic ones. What an absolutely copper-bottomed, 24 carat, crock of shit. *And, by extension, the Israeli people - "only democracy in the Middle East" as we're constantly reminded.

As to not supporting Labour; this is correct but the only two options for the next U.K. government are Labour and Tory and I’d prefer the former to the latter.

By your argument, you are as culpable as Blair for that war. https://www.workersliberty.org/story/2018-08-08/thousands-march-against-nation-state-law

Guest
Why are we all bloody obsessed with what's happening in the middle east, do we not have enough problems of our own to contend with ? There are some who are pro Israel and some are pro Palestinian but ultimately should we not be more concerned about the amount of people sleeping rough in our own towns and city's ? should we not be more worried about the real state of our economy and the fact so many are living on or below the poverty line ?? What about the shocking need for foodbanks in a supposed wealthy country ? what about the "gig" economy and zero hour contracts ? what about the disgraceful excesses of executive pay and how it's only got worse despite the supposed focus ?? Honestly, it's bad enough listening and reading to our politicians and mainstream media using Israel and Palestine as a political football, however I think we should see past this as a deflection tactic which is taking away where the real focus should be, and that's on the shocking state of our country including the failing NHS, Bankrupt councils and failing transport infrastructure. Time to wake up..............

We should have let that c**t Mandela rot in jail too.

In fairness I though Mandela to be a good man, however his wife was nothing other than a sadistic killer.

Detournement
https://www.theguardian.com/education/2018/aug/31/dozens-of-secondary-schools-exclude-at-least-20-of-pupils An unbelievable article about schools which exclude 20% of pupils. Unsurprisingly they are all academies. These vultures also have their eyes set on Scotland and must be opposed.
